Not As Good Quality As The Targhee Ii's
Not impressed with the Targhee III. They do not have as good support, cushioning and close fit as the Targhee II and the Voyageur. Within 8 months, along my big toe knuckles have split and is no longer waterproof and is uncomfortable when the ball of my feet flex. I will not buy these again. I am leery of trying the Targhee IV as it seems to be more of the same. Keen, like nearly every other outfitter, is trying to develop lighter hiking shoes/boots and sacrificing support, fit and durability. I have short and wide feet and it is difficult to find hiking footwear the accomodates my width without the shoe being too long creating a forward backward movement that gives me headaches and back pain. Keen has been the solution to this problem but that seems to be changing. I may be looking at other brand names.

Perfect Right Out Of The Box!
Perfect right out of the box. The toe box is roomy, the heel cup cradles, and the support and flexibility are great on the trail.

Material On The Side Broke Immediately
When I got them I was very happy for them. Great fit and comfort. Sadly the material on the side started breaking after a few hikes already:( making them lose all their watertightness. it’s really a bummer because I liked them otherwise.
I messed up the guarantee thing, so this one is just for the books

Not Waterproof
I love the way these boots fit. I have had them for about a year and I do not wear them often. Walking in some slushy snow today, my feet got wet! Disappointed. My Targhee 2 from many years ago are worn out, but still waterproof.

Outer Leather Brings Water To The Ankles
After walking 30 mins in light rain, my socks around my ankles were wet, though my pants at the ankles were dry. (Bootcut pants, so over the shoe) No puddle stomping so this is baffling, and I can only assume that the leather must have wicked the water up and over the collar, leading to damp ankles. Comfortable otherwise.

Bring The Quality Back!
I've been wearing Targhee boots for 12 years the fit and quality have always been top notch. I always looked forward to a new pair. Like walking on air, right out of the box. However, the last 3 pairs fell apart quickly 3 months!! The pair I bought in September not only fell apart but the fit was horrible and hurt my feet. What has happened to the best boot ever???!!!

They Are Comfortable And Supportive
they are comfortable and supportive but your sizing needs to be more consistent - I have sandals and 3 other pair of boots and they are all 8. 5 - one pair of boots is a little too big, so I ordered size 8 and got lucky with these

I Love These Boots
I’m on my 9th pair of these boots. I usually get around 400-450 miles out of a pair before I need new ones. I like the wide toe box for my arthritis. The waterproofing has only failed on one of the pairs of boots & I think that was because that pair got too hot in the back of my truck. They are “out of the box” comfortable and never need to be broken in. I recommend them to all of my hiking friends.

Great Boot. Sturdy, Comfortable, Would Buy Again
These boots are great! They have held up beautifully through hikes in mud, snow, wet ground & ice. Great traction. Only thing that has happened is a hook fell off. A shoemaker said he could easily fix at a very minimal $. I need wide as arthritic toes, heel fits perfectly, feet stay warm and have hiked average 3-5 miles daily.

Love My Boots
I have had various pairs of these boots since 2018 and I have nothing but great things to say about them. My first pair lasted four years of casual hiking and my second pair lasted two summers and but the dust after a 70 mile backpacking trip. I still wear my first pair but they are no longer waterproof after the seams ripped open. I love my boots to the end of their lives and I am ready to buy my next pair.

Too Heavy On Upper Foot Area, Causes Strain
These boots fit pretty well (a bit too roomy around upper foot/toe area) so I really tried to work with them and break them in in my month trial. But after three couple weeks of daily wear, they still hurt my feet- giving me tension in my upper foot and ankle. I think they are too bulky and heavy for me and are causing strain. I went 3 days over my trial- still hoping I could make these work for me, but realized I was miserable with every wear. Keen would not offer a return because they were counting the 30 days from when they were purchased, even though it took about 12 days for me to receive my boots. In short, I am not a fan of this boot and am sad because I only buy hiking boots once in many years time and researched for a while before buying these.

I Bought The Wrong Shoe
I was trying to replace an old pair that I loved. Boot doesn’t look the same as before or in person. Kinda bummed. That’s what I get for shopping online. I’ll be going to the store next Friday to find a pair in person.

So Comfortable!
walked 2 days straight in these shoes with no need to break in! I found comfort in the soles and a lot of movement in the toe box, snug fit at the ankle, and good grip on all terrain.
