Newports Are Awesome.

I have worn newports for years and I wear them daily for a three mile walk and for hiking. They wash well. The upper part of the shoe still looks great even when I have worn the soles out. They are comfortable and can be worn with or without socks. I couldn't ask for a better quality shoe!

The left shoe has a defect inside, extra nugget of material on my left toe rubbing badly 😢

Tight Fit Cushioned Traction

I've worn TEVA sandals for years until my arthritis became too uncomfortable in most shoes. This sandal is a very tight squeeze for me so I use a she horn to slip the back strap on. The footbed is a bit rough for older feet, so I wear thin socks. Overall still a good outdoor shoe.

Runs Way Smaller Than Previously, No Roomy Toebox Or Width Anymore

Keen has completely reworked this sandal, and the manufacturer apparently is ignoring standard sizing conventions. I take an 8 in these, but bought 9.5s because 1. that was all they had larger than 8s in what I wanted and 2. couldn't get 8s or 8.5's on my foot. The sandals are 1/3 shorter in height from mid foot forward, and narrower in the whole shoe. Some styles even have the foot opening no longer slanted up at the front curve of the ankle to the leg, making it horizonal, digging into the front of the ankle and while wearing, and difficult to put on. These monochrome colour ones thankfully didn't have this issue though the other Newport ones did. Sad to see what was reliable be completely changed and ruined. It was nice when I could just order my size, and not have to physically go and try on everything, like I have to do with every other shoe I buy. Hope the Targees style haven't been messed with too.

Sizing Is Inaccurate

This is my third pair of Keen sandals in this style. The last pair was a Women's size 8. So, I ordered a Women's size 8. 5 and they are really really too tight. I can wear them and hope that they will break in . . . by the way this is actually seventh pair of Keen shoes/sandals and I really love them. But, why did you change the sizing???

Happy With These

I’m happy with these sandals. I love the color. They are hard to put on- pulling up the back over my heel. So I hope they stretch out a bit. I appreciated the description advising to size up which I did a half size.

Completely Different Sizing Than Before

Wore Venice sandals until they disappeared, then Newports. Got the monochrome Newports for the first time and am baffled. I could barely get sz 8 on, a size slightly big for me. My 8's were less than a 1/2 size shorter on the sole in comparison to the 9. 5s. Shoe is shorter, narrower and the "roomy toe box" is now non-existent in both width but especially height . . . could barely fit my tiny toes in! I had to go all the way up to a 9. 5, as the 9 was still too narrow and short in the toe box! How do you take your classic sandal and change the sizing that drastically unless you don't hold your vendors to any standards at all? I hope you fix the toe box back to the way it was. If I could still hike, I'm sure I'd have to find something else to use, because the shorter height for the toes would certainly cause rubbing & blisters climbing up and down trails. OK if you size up 1-1. 5 sizes and you walk like a sore kneed 60 year old, but no longer any good for hiking or athletics.

My Opinion On My Fourth Newport!

Put them on and walked without any problem. These are made with perfection. The last they are Made on are true to size. Wonderful shoes for any sport or just a walk!

Somewhat Disappointed

I planned to use these shoes as summer hiking shoes but unfortunately trail debris (small rocks, pine needles, sand) got into the open back. Too bad because the comfort and support are good.

Short Life Span

Had mine for only one full summer before the stitches in the fabric started to become undone. Never did anything too crazy in them to have caused significant wear and tear, just not the strongest stitches in the fabric.

What a dream these Newport H2’s are! Feel like I’m walking on air, no rubbing or distress points anywhere. I am a true size 10 and upon others reviews, I sized up to 10 1/2. They are perfect in every way! Highly recommend.
