Ice Retention Let Down

I just took this cooler to the beach for the first time. I love how you are able to strap items on top of the cooler and the wheels worked well in the sand. However, the purpose of a cooler is to keep items cold and this is where I was let down. Igloo stated ice retention up to for days and that is not what I experienced. I do understand it was at the beach, but it was not in the sun. I have taken cheaper coolers to the beach and had the ice last longer.

Cooler Return

I ordered this cooler, but when I opened the box, I found that it was defective. The telescopic handle did not function properly because of how it had been installed, and the lid did not fit correctly. The return process was fast and simple, but the situation was still frustrating because I had planned to use the cooler for a July 4th party. After waiting another two weeks, I received a replacement. So far, everything seems to be working properly. However, the experience is a little like noticing a coffee stain on someone’s shirt when you first meet them. After that, you naturally start looking for other things that may be wrong. You never get a second chance to make a great first impression. A simple inspection of this cooler would have caught this and made a great impression!

Not Happy With Cooler!

Does not hold ice as long as it says, only lasted a day and a half without having an add ice and 80° weather.

Lid Broke And No Replacement Available

The lid broke after very light use — one of the two hinge tabs snapped, and Igloo does not sell replacement lids. That means the entire cooler becomes useless even though everything else is in perfect condition. Very disappointing quality and zero support for replacement parts.

Do Not Buy, Terrible Parts Availability

I've actually really enjoyed this cooler for the last 5 years, however this year the plastic part that holds the axle on broke. It has a few screws holding it down, easy enough to get to, so I figured I'll just order a replacement. Nope. They don't offer these parts. The cooler otherwise works great but the portability is gone. For the cost, I would recommend going with another brand that offers better repairability

Been looking at these for quite a while, at least a year and a half actually because I like the different features built in to the design. Finally pulled the trigger, and now that I have I'm eternally grateful for not spending additional money on rotomolded coolers from different brands. I live on the lake and do everything lake/beach/boat life...and this cooler checks every single box for anything from a day on the water to the extended weekend of outdoor fun with friends and family.
