    this unit does not work correctly. the view button sticks and does not work. you cannot tell if it is stuck or not it has been very frustrating trying to learn the software with this malfunction happening. Johnson will probably deny a return request it has been 36 days since I purchased it. not having one previously that is a very short time period for a return on an item you don't use everyday , especially with it glitching and thinking it you not getting it correct. I have spent hours of my spare time reading and watching videos trying to figure out this thing. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS MODEL , this is the second review I have done and no contact from the manufacturer, there trouble shooting help page lists this button and more things you could imagine. if there is that many things that go wrong with this. how could you sell it with any integrity ,

    Great Side Viewand 2d.

    I have used the Helix 7 twice. Love the side view and 2D. The down view is not as clear as expected. Of course this may operator error. If money is not an issue I would recommend a larger screen. I bought lake master premium and it was a great addition.

    Great Price Point For Side Imaging!

    In searching for a SI fish finder, I landed on the Helix 7. They really seem to be the best price point for decent screen size and full Side Imaging. Also Humminbird offers a transducer trade-in program if you want a different style of transducer and yours is still new/non-installed which I thought was awesome!

    I bought this fish finder a month ago and it has great features and clarity. That is once you get it set up correctly and can see clearly and not seeing algae. Trying to find structure that is holding fish.

    Bough this for last year's open water season and I love it so much I'm planning on buying a second unit for my boat! The interface is simple and easy to use, and MSI is a total game changer if you've only used traditional sonar. Great unit for the price!

    The Helix 7 Is The Best Choice

    Replacing a 25 year old fish finder. the price point of the HELIX 7 is perfect for what i need. having both summer and ice transducers, so i can use it year round. to spend 3-4 times more just to get a "big" screen is simply not worth it. But, yes you should get DI and SI Mega. they will be extremely helpful to find the fish.
