Like Walking On Clouds

These are my first pair of Hokas and I'm absolutely amazed at how good they feel. My feet are definitely thanking me.

Great Support And So Grippy

I'm an Altra enthusiast. My last pair fell apart after so little wear so I decided to give these Hokas a go. They aren't as blocky as the other Hoka models and have loads of grip. There's a little more of a heel lift to these vs. the Altra Olympus, but not much. They run pretty wide. I put orthotics in mine and they're really supportive; I can hike for hours and my feet don't even get tired!

Very Disappointing Fit.

For comparison, I've attached photos showing the first pair of Hokas I purchased around 3 years ago next to the Anacapa Breeze Hokas I purchased in fall of 2023. I can count on my hands how many times I have been able to wear them. I bought them specifically because I know that the previous Hoka sneakers were cut perfectly and the most comfortable sneakers I'd ever worn, in addition to how cute this new design was. I was quite mistaken. These shoes hurt right around the base of the big toe of each foot due to very painful rubbing. As you can see, I've used the blue Hokas A LOT and continue to seeing that they are very comfortable and helpful to my back pain etc. however this new design is way off.
