After some extensive research I decided to give these a try. I run a good amount (30-35 miles per week) and have been a fan of Hokas for about 5 years. I've run in the Clifton and a couple versions of the Speed Goat as well as the Rincon 2s. I've loved all of them for different reasons, but they've all been great. In that time I've deviated from the brand a few times and had moderate success there, but I always come back to Hokas. They just feel so light and bouncy. These are no exception. I actually run mostly road with a bit of trail (I live in the city and getting out to trails happens about once a week) so I wanted something that could handle both decently well. Something that was light enough to compensate for the bulkiness of the lugs but could also handle the trails well. These have done that for sure. They strike a good balance between stability and flexibility. Almost like marrying the Speed Goat with the Rincon. I feel fast and light on the paths I run through our local park and I've tested them on a decently technical trail and they have handled both very well. I've put about 70 miles on them already and they're holding up well. Plus I've gotten a decent amount of complements when wearing them around town. They run true to size and have a decent amount of roominess in the toe box (they aren't Altras or anything). I highly recommend these shoes. Buy them! You won't regret it.
