First Pair, I Will Never Go Back!!

These are for my husband. I finally got him to try this brand and he absolutely loves them! He loves the comfort and softness and support. The big test will be when he wears them for a week in Chicago, doing a lot of walking. Yet, so far he has no complaints and he’s had them for almost a month.

Good Shoe Bad Tongue Design

I chose the Bondi 9 because I was looking for a well rounded, moderate to max cushion shoe that offers good shock absorption, support and breathability to log daily miles. The energy return in these is just about perfect for me, the heel drop is just slightly too low for my heel strike preference, however the moderately firm forefoot cushion aids with my forward progression. For me, the length and width are slightly too snug, I generally wear a size 11, should have gone with size 11.5. Furthermore, I probably should have opted for the 2E width option. These definitely fit snug. When I first put them on and did some light walking around, it felt like I had a tank strapped to my foot. There is a generous amount of cushion stack height. Once I began to run though, that’s when they came to life. Smooth, cushioned landings with good shock absorption. My only major complaint is the tongue. It constantly shifts to the side or shifts down. That is very distracting and bothersome when trying to pay attention to your run. The tongue is not gusseted, however I have other running shoes without a gusseted tongue and those do not present an issue. If Hoka fixes the tongue issue, this would be a 5 star.

These shoes are very comfortable. Great spring in every step and it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing shoes. I just said goodbye to Skechers.

Helps Eliminate Plantar Fasciitis Pain

I’ve spent the better part of a year battling plantar fasciitis pain in my left foot, keeping me from getting the miles in that I’m used to. The Hoka Bondi 9s, along with stretches, exercises, massage and ice have helped me get back to the point where I can start training for an upcoming half marathon.

Terrible Shoes

Terrible shoe I wore them a few times since I purchase shoes but forgot to return them in time the shoes are not comfortable to wear on concrete but when I did my research these was suppose to be the top shoe for that but my feet hurt so bad and the cushion inside I feel the floor and I wasnt suppose to so these shoes will be giving to good will never will buy Hoka again i have some great sketcher feel way better thatn this shoe they are my go to shoe for work very disappointed in Hoka.
