These are fantastic! I have been using microspikes for years, but these have even better traction, and are easy to take on and off. I used them on some quite steep and icy trails last year and had no issues. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect crampons for day hiking on snow/ice. They fit on most hiking or approaching or mountaineering boots. Used this pair on Bugaboo glacier travel to Pigeon Spire with no issue on approach shoes. Some room for improvement; 1. Adjustment straps (plastic teeth) are easy to put on/off but they were not strong enough and stripped on steep incline. Hope the next version comes with stronger teeth on the adjustment straps for safety. 2. Tool-free size adjustment would be ideal but not a big deal. 3. Front two teeth can be bigger (or bend down) as they are not visibly sticking out to kick on ice nor facing down to get grip. Overall great tool for lightweight hiking.

This is my second set. The first set were fantastic. I used them on snow and ice for 10 years, but over much use and time they wore out. Hence this new pair. Can’t live without them in the winter. Easily 5 stars.

Did my first 7 km spike hike yesterday with my new trail crampon pro spikes and it was awesome! I’m a 72 year old female and the spikes are easy to use and fit well on my hiking boots. The spikes are heavy duty and felt very solid on the trail that had hills, snow and ice. I felt very secure and safe. I love hiking and these crampons allow me to hit the trails in the winter! Highly recommended!

I used these on many hikes in snow and ice. On bare ice or uniform hard snow, nothing beats these short of mountaineering crampons. However, on hard snow where the upper layer is melting, which is not rare above treeline in melt-freeze cycles, the antibott becomes a liability. Usually, the antibotts are flat in the crampons, so they never bear weight by themselves. However, on this model, they protrude quite a lot. When there is a top layer of melting snow, they prevent the spikes from gaining purchase and they becomes a plastic sled underfoot as they bear the user's weight.

I have been using the Trail Crampon Pro for the past 4 winters, and even into the spring, in NH's White Mountains. Several times my hikes (notvto mention my body :->) have been saved from disaster. I carry zip ties in the event of a break, but not once have these sweet crampons failed, or failed me. I have read one reviewers comments which faulted the slippery lower surface of the bots. However, I have not experienced that issue. On one hike I tried to slip, as a test, but found i coukd only slip if I had stepped too lightly or gingerly on just the right slope or angle, whether ice or hard packed snow. I love being able to thrust my foot forward to engage the front spikes on a near vertical icy surface and, of course, appreciate the confidence the crampons give me on descents. In short, these are wonderful!

Bought these for my first foray into winter climbing. Considered just microspikes but so glad I opted for these Trail Crampon PROs. I was able to complete the hike with great confidence and not a single loss of traction. Those wearing microspikes were struggling and slipping. Fit, adjustability, quality, construction, and purchase experience all top notch. Would buy again.

Great, they work well, collapse nicely to be compact. Would be nice to have a bag included with them though. Live and play in newfoundland perfect for the trails.

Plastic straps that breaks first time wearing this, do not recommend. I got lucky I wasn’t on a very steep mountain wearing these, since I was left with no traction. Saw a lot of people complaining about the same item on a hiking fb group in NH too. Very unfortunate since it’s my first experience with the brand.

These are the BEST crampons. I use them all the time for my daily walk in the winter. I'm a little older now (63), and a slip and fall accident is a bigger deal than it was when I was younger. The peace of mind I get from these crampons is wonderful. After years of terrific service, one of the adjustment bars that connects the front and rear pieces broke and Hillsong is sending me a new set free of charge. I just pay shipping. Thanks!

These look like good quality and were a good price. I haven't tried them out yet because I fell on the ice and fractured my wrist. Somewhat ironic.
Ii was looking for an in between traction set that was better than micro spikes and not semi auto crampons. These fit the bill perfectly. Adjustable and good quality. Looking forward to putting them through their paces this weekend in the Cascades.
