I was using Carbon steel before until I found this light cast iron, it has been my favorite skillet since. Just give it a try!!

I was in the market for a cast iron pan that was not as expensive as a carbon steel pan. This seemed to fit the bill. It's light enough to flip sunny side up eggs with one hand. The pan took to seasoning with ease due to the polish almost mirror like surface. I seconded it twice over two days and it turned to nice a glossy black finish, slippery smooth! The pan is 12 inches wide with a nice slopping sides, I assume to distribute the heat from gas or open flame. I'm using this pan almost exclusively on an induction cook-top. I'd say the flat inside portion(cooking surface) of the pan measures about 8" to 8" 1/2 inches diameter. A bit on the smaller size but I'll have to do more cooking with this pan to see it this will be enough. The only thing that I could nitpick is the construction of the handle. Specifically the way it connects to the pan itself. It looks bit on the small size. I'm concern of a catastrophic failure when you have heavy steaks or hot liquids in the pan and moving/lifting it out of the fire, etc. Only time will tell, as of right now, I'm looking to get a complete set. I love the heat retention and lightness of the pan to manipulate it with only one hand. L-O-V-E I-T-!

Beautifully finished cooking surface. Nice for veggies and meat.

I bought this to replace our non-stick "egg" pan, you know the small one that lets you cook a perfect fried egg one or two at a time... looking at the photos on the listing, the finish looked to be good, once I had it in my hands, it feels amazing, the polishing after being cast makes the difference. After taking our time and seasoning it correctly, this pan is perfect, the non-stickedness is just right and it is light and not clunky like typical cast-iron. Will be looking at getting the larger versions as we continue replacing the non-stick in our cabinets.

Bought this pan to stay in my car camping kit. It’s big enough to fry a steak or fish or larger dish for the family and also deep enough to boil pasta. It’s a nice size to serve many purposes.

Best cast iron pan that I have ever owned. Light. Takes seasoning very well. I will buy more for sure.
Non stick right out of the package, yet way lighter than traditional cast iron. I love the pan so much I immediately ordered the small one.

Update: Still works great but the rivets are now loose after 6 months of indoor kitchen use. Lighter weight than our other cast iron. Holds heat and warms up the same. Easy to season. Less surface area than our flat bottom 12” cast iron but i can pick this up with one hand whereas I cannot with our other.

I realize its cast iron and not a non stick but still has eggs which I bought it for sticking to it. I seasoned it as recommended. Hopefully with more time seasoning it, it will do what I need better. Not the pans fault, still a good little lightweight cast iron.

My Daughter always cursed our Cast Iron pans for being heavy and ugly. two years ago she spent money on some top quality non-stick pans. Then just before Christmas she mentioned new Pans as hers had the coating coming off. I acted as if I hand not heard her mention it but started the search for a lighter weight better looking pan set for her. I found these. I ordered 3 different sizes for her and a large covered one for the Bride and I. I seasoned ours as soon as it arrived and started using it. Love it. It is a good looking pan that works just as Cast Iron should. I walked the daughter through Seasoning her pans which she admitted was not as hard as she thought it would be. She has been cook on them for about a month now and loves them she loves the look and the weight is so much lighter than what she grew up with. I was not sure that she would like them but glad to know she does and no forever chemical involved now. She threw out all her old pans.
