Solid But Heavy

Great pack. I was able to carry 40 pounds over 4 days and 50 miles but the pack itself is 3 lbs which is kinda heavy for a pack. The side pockets were great for carrying my 1L smart water bottles along with my oversized knife and tent poles. My water filter system clipped onto the tabs provided on top

Great Overall Pack

After using the Paragon 60L for a 5 day backpacking trip, I have to admit I'm very impressed with the functionality and performance for the pack. The pack was a huge part of the success of my trip. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for an affordable pack that can do pretty much anything from longer treks with more weight to lighter weekend trips in the woods. My biggest note for new users is to take the time to fully adjust the pack, using the customizable features before heading out on the trail.

It’s a very good pack for all around hiking and backpacking, the thick cushioning on the shoulder and hip straps allows you to carry a fairly good amount of weight very comfortably and the abundance of pockets and pouches assists with staying organized in the trail. Great beginner to intermediate pack.

Great Backpack!

First impression, super light bag, box felt empty when I received it and that surprised me. Quality and versatility are worth mentioning. Still to go on my first hike but already love it! Adjustability is great and size is enough to carry gear for 3-4 days + external pockets fit bulky items. Side pockets are placed strategically and at comfortable reach.

Excellent 3-4 Day Pack

We bought this for my son as we got more into backpacking. This pack is versatile and handles his gear nicely. It isn’t unusual for him to strap the sleeping pad to the bottom of the pack. We use light gear, but definitely not all ultralight ultra compact gear. Durability is not a concern. I have a larger 80L pack and am considering getting this same pack for a more compact carry. I would say this pack could fit the bill for beginners and advanced users alike.

Versatile Backpack!

As a weekend warrior, I’ve taken the Gregory Paragon 60 on everything from quick overnights to long weekend treks, and overall, it’s a solid performer. The adjustable torso and hipbelt system make dialing in the fit really easy, and the breathable back panel does a good job of keeping sweat at bay. This has been especially useful as someone who sweats a lot! At 60 liters, it’s the perfect size for weekend trips, and it carries weight surprisingly well for how light it is. The sleeping bag compartment and stretch pockets are all great features, and the pack feels durable enough to handle scrapes and dings. That said, it’s not without its flaws. The front mesh shove-it pocket is tight and not super useful for bulky items. The hipbelt pockets could be just a bit bigger—my phone barely fits—and the top lid doesn’t offer much room for organizing smaller gear. Also, when fully loaded, the pack can feel a bit top-heavy. Despite those quirks, the Paragon 60 seems to be a reliable, comfortable choice for weekend warriors and experts who need a versatile, lightweight pack. Not perfect, but pretty close. Great Pack For Beginners And Experts

I used this pack several times and really enjoyed the way I was able to adjust it to fit my body. I would recommend it for beginners and experts alike. The price point allows hikers on a budget to get a great pack for their money. I'm 6'0, 200lbs and felt the pack was very comfortable while traversing the trails with loads in the 20lb range. When I took the pack out of the box for the first time, I was amazed at just how light it was. This is a fantastic pack option for light and medium weighted loads. I've hiked with several different high-end packs over the years with loads up to 120lbs. I didn't know what to expect out of this Gregory pack when I received it. I think it's an amazing value, especially for the packs weight. Even though the pack felt light to me, it appears very well made and nothing was designed in a cheap way…..just durable and efficient. This is a great pack for day hikes and backpacking. I could see myself utilizing this pack for up to 3-4 day trips. The only reason for the limitation is that I probably would want to take more than 50lbs in it for an extended trip. That being said, I haven't tried carrying loads in it over 50lbs, so I can't tell you exactly how it would preform. The belt, shoulder straps and back are very breathable and do a good job venting heat away from your body. The zippers and clips all functioned well. One thing I would like to see improvement on is the compartment on the left shoulder straps wasn't big enough to fit my sunglasses in. Gregory gave me this free product to try.

Great Backpacking Pack!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gregory gave me this free product to try. I have zero real complaints with this pack! Super light weight, but durable. Usually light packs lack support, but I was rocking up to 40 lbs. with no issues on rolling desert hills in SE NM. The sizing guide online was spot on, which is always a worry of mine. Access to gear is excellent with openings on the bottom, side and top. NO useless design full of gimmicky pockets either, which I love the simplicity but well though out flow of the pack. The material seems durable and has held up in the rough, everything-is-sharp, desert country I have been using it in. Literally hiked with my two year old, 32 lbs. nephew in it and with him wiggling around the pack still road great! (no kids were injured in this testing). I have not had a pack I have been this excited about in years. Great pack for the beginner and expert. I cannot recommend this pack more. If I had one small complaint it is that my older inReach is too big for the pocket on the shoulder strap...maybe I need to upgrade that more than the pack has an issue. Seriously if you are looking for a first or new pack, get this one! Tightens down for day hikes but big enough for longer backpacking trips as well. Buy this pack!

Perfect For Extended Dayhike Or Backpacking Pack

I was excited to try the new Paragon pack as I'm planning for the Maroon Bells 4 Passes Loop later this year. I'm 6'1 and opted for the large size pack. The fact that you can adjust the height of the pack on the frame allows you to really dial in the fit and avoid having the waist band too high or low. The floating back panel is comfortable and well ventilated. I've had no issues with hot spots or pinch points. I was easily able to get my load out packed including a tent, bear canister, sleeping bag and mat and all the other bits and pieces I'll need. The overall weight distribution feels good. Inside the pack there is a divider which separates the bag roughly 70/30 top and bottom. Inside you have a sleeve for a bladder and the hook for Gregory's bladder. In the lid you have an outer and inner pocket, the latter has a helpful key hook. There are two pockets on the side of the pack which have a different layout from each other one has an access hole which if you contort your arm you can reach into. There is a sleeve pocket on the outside for easy accessible items. There are two pockets on the waist belt. The belt is very structured and it was a wriggle to get my iPhone Max into one but it just about fits. The shoulder strap sleeve for an Inreach seems a bit gimmicky. There seems no way to attach it so if you really have a fall it could come loose or fall out. Personally I use a Garmin 67 which has a Velcro mount. I've used Gregory's Zulu packs for the last 4-5 seasons and this feels like a solid upgrade with some nice features. Gregory gave me this free product to try.

King Of Comfort And Easy To Stay Organized

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the past few weeks I have had the chance to test this product hiking through Utah. I loved the fit of this backpack. I have very narrow shoulders and a small waist (29 inch) and this bag fit like a glove. The straps all had pently of room for adjustment which I appreciate in a bag. The back was extremely breathable and the shoulder straps had ample padding. The bag has all the features I typically look for in a pack such as a brain with top and bottom pockets, pockets on the waist belt, and a mesh outer pocket for quick storage. I found the side access zipper to be very useful and used it many time to reach gear deep in my bag. My only critique is the system for attaching the brain to the main compartment. It came undone when I tried to adjust it the first time and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to resecure it so the brain doesn't flop everywhere when open. Other than that I think this might be my new favorite bag and an excellent addition to my backpack quiver.
