Rusted Quickly

This knife rusted very quickly despite limited use and routine rinsing. I keep this on my belt when surfcasting. Mainly for emergency use should I get stuck on something. Or to bleed a fish on the rare occasion that I’m keep one. It has never been taken out of the sheath other than to rinse it. Despite limited use and regular care, it rusted in about 2 months. I also read the reviews regarding the sheath and reinforced it with electrical tape from the get go. That has worked out nicely, but the blade didn’t hold up, so I will be replacing it. With something more durable.

Regular Guy

First time out the sheath clip broke. Luckily I caught the knife. This was clipped to my life jacket. My brother has the same knife and just had the same break. I like the knife so far but the sheath isn't strong enough for average use.

Experienced Drift Boater.

Anchor/ rescue ropes are tuff stuff. Was disappointed that the knife was only coarsely sharpened and the serrations very shallow. In a rescue situation you don't want to have to spend time sawing through a rope. Quality knives come razor sharp, so I finished what was only started in China. Other than that, no complaints - so far. If you buy this knife, be prepared to finish the sharping job.

Self

i own one, have had it for a year ? for me i expect a knife to last ALOT longer and not rust up as this one is. more importantly is that i had it attached to my nrs chinook vest and the clip broke, luckily i caught it, the sheath needs to be fixed. it should not have broke i give this knife a 1 star, i expected way better quality from gerber.

Awesome Quality. Definitely Recommend

This is my second time buying from Gerber and both times I was got more for my money than I was expecting. This knife came sharp and ready to use and the release on the sheath works great!

Great Features

I bought this to take on a sailing trip with me and it came in handy. I used it to cut rope and open lids. The handle is great and never became slippery and it stayed in the sheath until I needed it. I love it so much, I'm going to get my friend one for his boat.
