Easy To Use.

My husband and I bought this a month ago, and we are so happy that we did. Its our second Garmin watch and its so easy to operate and use.

Awesome Smartwatch

I've had this watch for eight months now and still absolutely love it. Battery life is every bit of 12-14 days, and I use it hard (12 workouts a week). Reading text messages with responses is very effective. I find the heart rate monitor and steps tracking is far more accurate than the Fitbit. Creating a custom watch face is simple and fun.

Watch is outstanding with new functions for my vivoactive watch. I love that it speaks out my mile running splits instead of having to look at it as well as I love the night darkness mode.

Disappointed

Battery drains quickly. Not that great mobile interface

Love My Garmin

Great watch. Excellent tracker for steps/miles walked. Good for weather alerts plus keeping me informed with my Dexcom G7.

So Far, Great Watch.

Well I've only had this watch for about 10 hours but so far I'm impressed. The battery is still at 100% with very few changes from the way the watch came. Step counters working good, I'll see how it does with sleep tonight. Time will truly tell though.

If I could give it zero stars I would, first watch i got was fine for the first t months battery lasted almost a week. A few months later it would only last a day, not even 24 hours. Contacted Cs they sent me a replacement and its doing the same thing 🤦🏽‍♀️

Vivoactive 5. Constantly dropping connection to phone. Have to re-pair it at least once a month.

Great Watch

Great watch. I have the vivioactive 3 and 4, this is much more sophisticated

Disappointed With Sleep Score

So far I like my new Vivoactive 5 BUT I bought it mainly for sleep monitoring. I was disappointed that the sleep score algorithm will not assign a goal below 7 hrs, and it can't be set manually. Since I began using a CPAP for sleep apena about 20 yrs ago, I have never slept that long unless sick or using soporific medications. Six hours is more typical for me. Seven hours of sleep is "sleeping in". Unfortunately this goal restriction will negatively affect my sleep score and "body battery" values when, if fact, there is no reason to. I don't know if a reduced score due to shorter than goal sleep will mask the effects of other sleep quality parameters (REM/Deep/light ratios, HRV etc) or if the score reductions are linear with the actual goal -time difference. I can live with the latter by simply changing my definition of what a "good sleep" score is, but if masking occurs (sleep duration effects change non-linearly) those scores are pretty useless to me and that is why o switched to Garmin. I am disappointed that Garmin does not recognise that some people do not require as much sleep as others while some require a lot more. Seven hours may be a "typical" limit for avoiding sleep deprivation, but denying that there are people that have perfectly healthy sleep less than that seems a bit presumptive. All populations have statistical outliers.

Great Upgrade

I bought this 2 months ago after my vivoactive 3 was acting up. I love the upgrade and the features that the 3 did not have.

Great Watch

I love my vivoactive 5! The support group Garmin are very helpful!!

I’ve had this watch for three years. It works flawlessly and measures my health stats. It runs several days on a charge.

Received as gift. Features good but battery won't hold charge more than 24 hours. Support system helpful but problem continued inspite of recommendations. Support service recontacted suggested return watch.

Disappointed In Vivoactive 5

I have been using Garmin watches for years for general gym use and active jobs. I really like the app and pack of a monthly subscription. Unfortunately something is wrong with the garmin vivoactive 5 line. I have gone through 1 brand new one where the bezel separated from the base and screen popped out. I purchased a recertified one and the screen has gone completely black in just 5 months. My vivoactive 4 lasted over 2 years. That's why I went to the 5. But now I feel dumb. The watch screens are not lasting.
