Durable by nature of a fully rubberized outer, I expect these will be very long lasting if the boa holds up to desert dust. However, that rubberization also makes the upper not form fitting at all so don’t expect it to conform to your foot if it’s not comfortable out of the box. Interestingly, I have very flat feet but had to use the higher arch supports to make them fit right and alleviate pressure points. Middle of the road breathability and I haven’t ridden them through creeks to know how well they drain but the materials look like they won’t retain water so probably will be fine. Interface with shimano xtr trail pedals is perfect, just enough contact to support but not interfere with release. Soles are pretty stiff, not like an xc carbon shoe but more than a 5.10 free ride pro I use with flats.
Fit is spot on, I wear 45 most bike shoes (11.5 in 5.10’s) and that worked here. I appreciate fox making these in tan color way.
