Probably More For Autumn Months…

So I’ve been wearing Fjallraven’s Trekking Tights HD all summer here in Alaska and have been really excited to purchase these for winter hiking. I’ve decided that leggings are much more comfortable for me because I love the freedom of unrestricted movement. I got them in the mail today and was deeply skeptical of their warmth rating due to them being paper-thin. They didn’t seem that much thicker than the other Fjallraven tights I wear. So I took them on a trial walk around my neighborhood in 24 degrees F and my legs were very cold. By the time I got home the skin on my legs were red, and I was gone for only a half hour. Oddly enough, the coldest part of my legs were my thighs - where the wind panels were supposed to be. So I wouldn’t recommend these for winter hiking, but maybe they will be warmer with more strenuous exercise. And yet I don’t think I will risk ruining a mountain hike by trying these out again. Perhaps they will be better in the interim seasons like spring or autumn. I am on the fence if I am going to return them or not. I’ll probably hang onto them because they are very comfortable and soft. Fjallraven is my favorite brand, so it makes me sad to leave this review. I am 5”7 and 140lbs. The medium fits perfectly.

Love

Went hiking in the Lake District and discovered my abisko tights were too large. Fortunately, I found a Fjallraven vendor and found these tights, which turned out perfect as I need a bit more insulation. I love the feel of these. They kept me warm on some pretty brutal days. They dry quickly. I am absolutely in love with Fjallraven tights, and these are a new favorite.

Disappointed In Quality

I was really excited to get these Trekking tights. All other product I own have been very high quality. I love this brand however on my first trek in these tights, I rubbed my leg on a rock and the tights ripped just below the knee. I do not think it was aggressive enough to rip my pants and I am really disappointed in the quality for the price. The pockets are nice and I was warm and comfortable throughout the trek. Wish they were better quality for the backcountry.

How Low Can You Go? (On The Knee Pads) Lol

attractive pants but knees sit too low for me I'm 5'2 123 lbs and the small was really too small for me. I could see my nude colored underwear when I bent over. If I size up I'm sure the knees would sit even lower? Didn't wear them any outside but it's good quality fabric but I can't see these keeping you warm in anything under 45 degrees. Just my opinion.

Not For Petite Women

Being 5’4”, I typically wear regular length pants but these leggings are not working for someone my height. I think the knee pad area sits lower than I would like. Also, these leggings were don’t block the wind well. I do like that they are high quality and won’t rip, tear, or snag easily.
