Hello! I purchased my vidda pro ventilated pants a few years ago. They were my “buy once cry once” selection for my outdoor teaching and wilderness first responder job. The G1000 sure is tough, but it restricts vertical movement of your legs - every step pulls the pants down on the iliac crest because the waist is low rise and equally stretch-resistant. The inner thigh/crotch portion of my trousers wore through within a year of use, and fjallraven was kind enough to repair that. I appreciate the effort! However I continue to struggle with these pants. I’m telling you - they DO NOT move with your body - I went so far as to get my trousers tailored and I still cannot bear to put them on. They’re just uncomfortable for daily wear. If you need pants for short walks through thorny brush, these will work great. Working on splitting wood? Excellent choice if you wear them with overalls. But these are not an all-day comfort technical piece of gear - the canvas is unforgiving. The ventilation zippers often open without me reaching for them - it might sound weird but I don’t want students seeing my boxers. The pockets located in the front of the pant are super awkward too - any object that’s not flat like a wallet (I carry a flashlight, multitool, etc) these stick out like a sore thumb and press into your thigh. Not a knock against fjallraven - your products are solidly built. However I think a sales rep steered me in the wrong direction with this choice of gear - and I’ve given it a really really solid try. However I can say I have to let these pants go - I’ve tried different belts, overalls, tailoring, etc. Sorry guys! One last note - if you’re struggling with the same problem, try wearing them with thin, slick long underwear. The friction-reduction helps.

Out the pants to the test immediately. Wore them everyday for about a month working in houses and landscapes. Just incredible. Replaced my heavier work wear. Has become my uniform. Love it.

Another great product from one of the better outdoor clothing brands. I have several different models of their pants and all perform great in the Rocky Mountains. For the price I would put these against any similar pants.

This is my 5th pair of vida pro pants… every color I like I’ll buy. They are great value and comfortable in any environment.

I love these pants but I just wish the buckwheat color had darker knees and behind fabric. I can’t hike or camp without dirtying up my knees or grass stain on the behind.

I bought these because the otherwise excellent Barents Pro became almost unusable for physical work outdoors in hot weather. Unfortunately I find the ventilated Vidda Pro even more unbearable. For starters the fit is too narrow and sweaty legs begin to stick at the knees above 25°C. Also the thick, rigid, triple (quadruple?) thickness seam at the base of left thigh pocket is in exactly the wrong place for comfort and ease of movement. It continues to rub unpleasantly against skin even after months of use. Who tested these?? As others have said the main zipper is too weak and a critical point of failure. The right thigh pocket is shorter than the Barents or Vidda and barely fits a modern smartphone. The stretchy bits work well however, as long as you don't snag them on thorns.

I bought these pants about a month ago and absolutely love them I’ve warned them many times and they fit very well, I don’t know why people are saying they fit differently cause for me they fit way better than anything I’ve ever had not to mention the durability so far is very good, I hike in them all the time, absolutely recommend these pant

I was really hoping these pants would be durable enough to handle years of wear and tear. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been my experience at all. After only about 10 wears, the stitching in one of the pockets and the crotch started coming apart, and the cuffs are already badly frayed. I love the concept of these pants and how they’re advertised, but in reality they seem built more for appearance than actual use. I wasn’t even putting them through anything extreme—just basic hiking and camping—so this level of wear is pretty disappointing..

Having bought more than 15 pairs of Vidda Pros (ventilated and non), Keb's and others, a Pro Deal holder with Fjalraven, professional referrer I am disappointed they made the perfect pant a lot less well fitting. The new much smaller waste means unless you are truly skinny, you have to size up 1-2 full sizes which means you end up wih a much longer rise pant. Which means a pant that tends to bind and rip. They HAD the ideal work pant. Please please bring back the old pants guys! I am still giving 4 star because the company is top notch, returns and repairs are amazing. I am confident they will try to fix this.

I love these pants. I have many many pairs. I wear them every day. I’ve taken them back to the Fjalraven store several times to be repaired bc I’ve worn out pockets and crotch of several pairs. Eventually, they stop being repairable and you buy more. I REALLY dislike the new “Improved Fit.” If you have muscular thighs and butt the size you wore for years suddenly don’t fit right. I now have 3 new pair I can’t comfortably wear bc I replaced several dying pairs at once and failed to note the redesign. Great pants. Good company. Strange design decision. Bottom (ha!) line: TRY BEFORE YOU BUY

I love the fit and feel of these pants. I’ve already purchased 2 more pair.

These pants are not only functional but stylish. I bought them because I work in less than pristine environments. I also prefer to own a pair of pants that can still be worn for other extracurricular activities...like hiking, camping, etc. These pants were designed well, have ventilation zips, are rugged yet feel relaxed and not heavy. I love Fjallraven products and I also own a raincoat of theirs that I have now owned for nearly 10 years.

I bought this pants with scouting in mind. Having worn this pant into the thick off trail world of the PNW I am happy to report it lived up to the hype. The rugged exterior busted waist high brush without catching a snag. While not waterproof, these pants are very water-resistant. I hiked for a full day in light rain pushing through brush and they didn't soak through. Having hip vents is a huge plus on the steep uphills and cleanup at home is just a quick rinse and brush using the hose. These pants keep up with my hunting pants at half the cost. They strike a great balance between durability, water resistance and temperature regulation while being quiet enough to close in on game. I see another pair on the horizon.

After having the Keb pants which I loved so much, I bought two pairs of the Vidda Pro to wear at work, and man do these pants rock! Like others have said, I would size up. I typically wear a 34" but the 36" fits perfectly while not being too baggy in the thigh or leg. If you're thinking about getting a pair of these, you won't regret it!

Still great pant, have 4-5 pair now HOWEVER, THESE DO NOT FIT LIKE THEY USED TO. Be aware, they have changed their sizing. the 48/32 fits more like a 31-32 now and not the 32-33 it was before. If you used to wear a 48/32 waist and it fit like a glove, you will now wear a 50/34 waist. Freakin annoying. They seam longer as well when you step up to the next size. I've had to reorder 2x's now to get this right.
