I've found these to be comfortable and reasonably well made, but the design of the pockets is not well done. They are all rather flat/low volume, so it's difficult to put anything in them, and the placement towards the front of the thigh restricts movement when you have a bulky or angular object in them. The lack of a rear pocket is a real shortcoming, and while it's absence is visible in the photos, be forwarned: carrying a wallet is an issue.

These shorts are very well designed. Material looks tough and should last. Pockets are well placed with snap buttons. I upsized one level and the shorts fit perfectly.

These are quite seriously the best pair of shorts that I have ever owned. They come in sizes not often available in the US, have room in the hips to move around in, and have extremely durable but stretchy fabric; particularly in the middle so movement is never limited. The only ways they could get even better would be to have a zipper leg attachments and the black fabric colors to initially come as one blending color. -Additional Bonus: The pocket set up is amazing!

Shorts are form fitting, but not tight. Material is of a high-tech nature, not cotton. Dries fast and durable. Material isn't stretchy, but super comfortable. On a side note, I'm happy that there is no back pocket. Strange at first, but now that I've worn them a while I appreciate not sitting on my wallet. Plus, not having a pocket makes the shorts a little more "clean", too.

A disappointing start for a lifetime of adventure with these shorts. Apart from the pocket fraying the quality is good. Never had a problem with this company before I’m sure it’s just a one off.

These shorts are great. They fit well and fabric feels great. The multiple pockets allow for easy separation of multiple items like keys, phone and wallet making everything easy to find. I have laundered them and they launder well. I would buy again and in fact, I did get a second pair.

Bought these for a photography trip to New Hampshire. I have trousers from here and chose the same size because they fit great. While they are well built and stitched they run small and have little to no stretch for uphill hikes. For this price point I would really expect better.

Purchased these shorts and wore them for one hike. Rear ripped 3 inch gash during hike. For the price expected more durable material.

Got these for the summer and they're great. Lets the breeze through, doesn't weigh a lot and the fit is just like the regular Vidda Pro pants,
I presumed these were the same sizing as my Vidda Pro trousers so ordered the 52 and they fitted perfectly. Very comfortable pair of shorts with loads of features. Look good on both the trail and around town. I'm going to need a bigger wardrobe soon...

For me, these fit a bit tighter than my size 50 vida pro trousers, which is OK for a pair of shorts and they look great. It does however make the pockets less useful than in the trousers. With the trousers I carry all my dog stuff, bags water bowl, water bottle etc but these do not fit into the pockets of the shorts. Same great quality

These are great shorts. I purchased EU size 52, the same as my Vidda Pro Lite trousers which are just a little loose on me but I think the size 50 would be too tight, but the waistband on the shorts is about 2 cm larger so they are very loose! I still think the size 50 would be too tight so I'm stuck with the loose shorts. In addition, as someone else mentioned, the Dune beige is a bit bright (and quite yellow looking) so be aware. I much prefer the Buckwheat brown of my Abisko summer hat but unfortunately the selection of colours for the Vidda Pro Lite shorts is limited. I have, therefore, ordered the Barents Pro shorts in Olive and hope these are cut correctly for size and the colour is the nice dark green as it looks in the photos.

I have the Vidda Pro Lite trousers (EU size 52) and they are a loose fit, probably because I am between sizes. I think the size 50 would be too tight and I have the Abisko Midsummer belt which is perfect for making the size 52 trousers a snug and comfortable fit. However, the Vidda Pro Lite shorts are also a size 52 and the waistband on these is about 2 cm larger which makes them quite a bit looser than the trousers! Please improve size consistency and quality control! I still think the size 50 would be too small and I'm not crazy about the Dune Beige colour which is a bit bright and yellow. I much prefer the Buckwheat Brown colour of the Abisko Summer hat that I also bought. My Vidda Pro Lite trousers are dark grey (which I really like) but I wanted to get a different colour for the shorts and there are only 3 other choices so I have now ordered the Barents Pro shorts in Olive, which looks to be a nice dark green, so I hope they are as per the photo when they arrive in the coming days!
