If you study the market of inflatable mats. How did I do it? Then you will understand that this will win the nomination of the lightest three-season rug for two. Taking into account thermal insulation, comfort, and compactness, it has no competitors. Its only drawback is the price. Even ultra-light material is not it. After all, if you take care of it, it will last at least 5 years. I definitely recommend it for two, but only for two, I am a mat for a couple who are always together and do not want to overload their shoulder bag. If weight is not critical for you, then you should look at BA.

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to use the Exped Ultra 3R Duo Sleeping Mat during our multi-day backpacking trip, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. This sleeping mat truly exceeded our expectations in every way. First and foremost, the comfort it provided was outstanding. The mat is generously sized for two people, and its thickness and cushioning made it feel like we were sleeping on a real mattress. We both had a fantastic night's sleep, which is a rarity when camping. One of the standout features of the Exped Ultra 3R Duo Sleeping Mat is its durability. Despite being relatively lightweight, it held up exceptionally well on rough terrain. We didn't have to worry about punctures or leaks, thanks to the robust materials and construction. Setting up the mat was a breeze. The included inflation pump made the process quick and effortless, and the two separate inflation chambers allowed us to customize the firmness on each side, catering to our individual preferences. Deflating and packing it back into the included stuff sack was equally easy, making campsite teardowns a breeze. We were also impressed with the insulation this mat provided. Even in cooler temperatures, we stayed warm and cozy throughout the night, and the mat's design prevented cold spots from forming. Overall, the Exped Ultra 3R Duo Sleeping Mat greatly enhanced our camping experience. Its comfort, durability, ease of use, and thoughtful design made it a fantastic addition to our gear. We highly recommend it to any camping couple looking for a comfortable and hassle-free sleeping solution. It has quickly become an essential item for our outdoor adventures, and we can't wait to use it again on our next trip.

I bought this a month ago. The mattress is a great size for a two person tent. I especially like that each side can be inflated independent of the other side.

I bought this end of last year and have really been enjoying it with my partner. No more gap between sleeping pads! also love that you can inflate both sides separately.

Bought this for backpacking with my wife. Fits into our Dusrton X-Mid without issue and inflates in about 3 min with the Flextail Tiny Pump2X (1.5min per side). Not the quietest but not over noisy either. Very comfortable and plenty warm for 45-50F nights.

This has been such a great sleeping pad! My husband and I comfortably fit on it and we can even fit two of our small kids with one of us on it! It’s definitely more comfortable and easy to inflate! We have a small electric backpacking pump that inflates it so quick! Very light weight and perfect for backpacking couples!

Took it on an 5 day expedition with my partner. Amazed by how lightweight it is given the 3.9 R value Similar product out there (ie insulated double V) I previously use is almost double the weight Moreover, the possibility of adjusting firmness for individual is also amazing, it also reduces the chance to waking your partner in midnight when u toss and turn on the bed Great product overall

I liked the single version of this one so much that I bought the double for when I'm traveling with my partner - no more overlapping/squished mats in our 2 person tent! The quality, durability, and packability of this mat is really great and I absolutely LOVE the inflation bag - so much faster and cleaner (making it last longer) than mouth inflation!

Why carry 2 pads (for 2 ppl) when one will do? Saved a little weight and the pad is a perfect match to my big Agnes copper spur ul2 tent. No more falling into the cracks or inching in from the tent sides. . It’s a comfortable pad, and quieter than my old pad.

We gave our Exped 3R LW Duo a test run in our sunroom with the windows open. It got down to 32 degrees (and we could see frost on our neighbor's roof). The pad kept us warm. I had laid 2 layers of tyvek between the pad and the cold tile floor to simulate a ground cover and tent floor. We did also put a twin size fitted sheet (fit great on this pad) on to keep the pad clean. My husband and I wore 1 layer warm pj's and beanies. I wore 2 pairs of socks. We haven't received our backpacking quilt so we just used heavy blankets from in the house. And our normal pillows. Our noses got cold, but we stayed warm! We didn't feel cold coming up through the mattress. We are both side sleepers and the pad was very comfortable! Also, we're both over 40 years and average weight. It felt a little too firm after blowing up all the way, but we discovered the little part on the "in" nozzle that allows you to release just a little air at a time. Even better, there are 2 completely separate air chambers for my husband and I. So you get the best of both worlds being able to share your mattress and still control your level of firmness. We are cuddlers so we sleep really close together. The LW Duo was plenty wide for us. I loved filling up with the included Schnozzel pump bag. Was easy and I'm glad to not have the condensation from my breath cooling the pad from the inside. Took me less than 10 minutes and I've never used a pump bag before. My husband and I have done lots of car camping (this was at least as comfortable as the HUGE mattress we bring for that). He's done a little backpacking and I'm getting ready for our first together.

Full disclosure - returned this. We needed options for thiccer people for overnight backpacking and found the single person rectangle size adequate.

I’ve used the Exped HL MW pad for years and it’s been my favorite. It’s lightweight and the comfort is unmatched in my opinion. Now that I usually backpack with my partner, it was time to upgrade to a 2 person pad. We compared the regular and large sizes and found that the large only fit in our 3 person Big Agnes Copper Spur, but not our ZPacks Duplex. We’re both 5’10” and athletic builds, and slept fine together on the regular size (we don’t mind snuggling). The included pump bag works well, much better than the thermarest ones I’ve used. Each side takes about 3 bags to inflate and each person can adjust the firmness to their liking.

During this mats first use it was freezing and after laying down I instantly felt the protection from the cold ground. Have never slept better in the woods.
