I bought these after reading an article. I believe adding a bead to the front of a weedless plastic swim bait helps to deflect grass, pads, and structure keeping the bait cleaner than not using one. I also believe it acts as another attractor “aim point” for the fish.

The usage of red fishing beads is very good to excellent on my part, for the fish does go after anything that really is red because they do see the coloration as blood, so they usually will be able to go after it because they do think that anything that is put on the hook such as squid, mullet, sardines, clams, shrimp, or anything else would be seen as bleeding or almost dead so they would be able to go after the beads as well and would most likely be hooked by the fishing hook.
