Amazing Gear
I bought this over a month ago. It’s my go to bag for everything from commuting to city biking to mountain biking and hiking to shopping. The pack is well designed and sturdy with enough room for all of my gear. The built in rain protector is very handy and fits perfectly.

Happy With Pack!
Got a chance to take in a couple of hikes already and I must say that this pack is awesome. Really confortable on my shoulders and back. I like the load distribution straps, and the nicely distributed pockets around the pack.

Easy To Use And Performs Well.
I wanted something that would work as a daypack and for overnight trips, and this bag has hit the mark. It is light enough to be comfortable, yet does a great job of holding the weight close to the body and doesn't move around while booking down a trail. Great pack so far. The only bummer was one of the handles on the pull to cinch down the side of the bag popped loose from the cord. The cinch still works, just less convenient to use. Other than that, great bag!

Great Medium Size Day Pack
This is a high quality day pack. It is a good medium size. The pack is well made. It is light weight but still has a frame for support. I like that the pack itself doesn't add much weight to what I am carrying. The cranberry color gives the pack a nice look. The support straps are padded and very comfortable. I really like this pack.

Perfect For Travel
We travel internationally every year. After losing our luggage on a trip to Turkey, we decided that handcarrying all the way is the safest option. I was attracted to the included rain cover, as well as the front access zipper that allows me to retrieve items in the bottom of my pack without difficulty. This is all I ever use now for travel, and I love it.

Fabulous Pack
My past daypack, which I had for at least 30 years, was unfortunately stolen. Yeah, I hang on to my gear for the long term if feasible! After some research, I got an ACT Trial 30 which I have had almost 2 years. I use the pack all the time and the pack has held up fine. Most impressed with the well thought out engineering of the pack, I can tell The Deuter staff spends a lot of time designing their products. Handles a load fine ( which for a pack it's size admittedly isn't substantial compared to much larger packs.)

Light Weight
Light weight and has many compartments for storage for lunch or anything else useful when hiking and a pocket for water on the outside keeps the container snug and fit which is great for when hiking the soulder straps have plenty of padding, making the overall use and feel comfortable pack is well-balanced, even when full to capacity

Tons Of Little Extras
This hiking pack is light, well built, and has tons of hooks and products. Came with a trash sack. Zippers all work well and the only complaint is that it doesn't sit exactly on my back perfect because I'm broad shouldered and tall. Other than that, this has to be one of the best hiking packs on the market. I will now look to Deuter for all my hiking/camping needs!

Awesome Pack
Picked this up a few weeks ago because I needed something that I can use outdoors and also use on short trips. I can fit a few days of clothes and shoes in it without any problem and throw it in the overhead bin of the airplane. I used it on a small hike in Colorado and it was great, it is lightweight and very comfortable to carry on your back. I like the zipper in front that allows you to get to your stuff without having to dig it out from the top. It also has the capability to add a bladder for water which is very handy. Overall a great backpack.

Best Day (Or One Night) Pack I Own
I went hiking 3 days in a row 10 miles each day to break in this pack.
Here's what I love:
- The backpack has the ability to be loaded while lying on it's back, this is insanely functional and great to use.
- The air flow system on the back noticeably reduces back sweat.
- The Pack has a ton of storage space and pockets that are useful.
- The shoulder straps are super comfortable.
- The cushioned hip straps are awesome also.
- The hip strap pocket is large enough to hold my phone & a snack, this is key
- It's durable, I dropped it about 20 feet when I was hiking by accident and it went through trees and rocks without tearing / scratches.
- The color is great
Here's minor comments:
- The strap that holds the top down it sort of comically long and in a weird spot
- The hip straps are long. When I cinch the straps to my hips, the straps hang to my knees (I'm 6'3"!)

Attractive, Versatile, A Fine Backpack!
As an avid camper and hiker, I must say that I’m am definitely impressed with this Deuter Aircontact Trail 30. It’s rugged, lightweight, and holds a surprising amount of gear.
I mostly use it as a day hiking bag, or for overnight, and it serves this purpose admirably. The zippers stay firmly in place, and glide smoothly when opening up. You can store items in the top, or open the front panel, which is great for accessing things stored deeper in the pack so you don’t have to drag everything out. There is a great, small pouch on the waist strap that’s perfect for a knife, sunscreen, and chapstick, and I use it all the time.
The straps are thick and I haven’t had any issue with chafing. And all the clasps are easy to secure and open, are tight and sure when engages...and none have opened accidentally.
The contouring in the back is comfortable, even when wearing it for hours and moving fast. I’m 6’ and it fits me well, and my wife, at 5’4 can use it as well. I’ve included pics of how it looks on our different frames.
There are ways to start on helmets for climbers, and loops for poles, though I haven’t used them yet.
I’ve also been using it when traveling, and it fits nicely in the overhead compartments of airplanes.
It has held up great so far, and the color is still vibrant. I imagine I’ll use this pack for years to come. Great product.
