Great Town And Country Travel Shoe.
Frequently visit family in Maine and these boots are good for dinner out, on the trail, or aprés skiing. In the winter they are sturdy even unlaced and ready to slide on and off in the mudroom.

Very Good Lightweight, Waterproof Hiking Shoe
It's early days (only one month into the Danner shoe-owning experience), so take this review with the proverbial grain of salt. But so far the shoe has met my expectations: * Good waterproof performance, having spent a full morning out and about in the rain. Worth mentioning that these shoes readily retain heat, as most goretex lined footwear tend to do. * Comfy, if somewhat narrow fit, which suits me just fine given my narrow-ish forefoot * Excellent traction in slippy conditions. Really impressed with the vibram sole. I have yet to put them through the paces with any significant hiking/backpacking, so this review will need a refresher once they experience has been achieved, but at this point I'm well pleased with the purchase.

Love Em But I Had To Size Up
I wear a 9 in sneakers/Nikes and 8.5 in dress shoes. I had to size up to 9.5 for these for toe room. No break in period and comfortable out of the box. I overpronate and these seem supportive, stable, and keep me from rolling my ankle. Stepped in some cold water and they kept my feet dry.

Best Shoe Ever
I have been a huge fan of trail hikers throughout my life. I used to always resort to Salomon, but the lack a selection of wide widths. I saw these Danner's that offered style and functionality. I have owned Danner's in the past and they are the most comfortable boots that I have ever owned. These are stylish, functional and the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned. Waiting to order an all black pair for work. Down right AWESOME shoe, You won't be dissapointed!!!!

Great Hiking And Yard Work Shoe
These shoes fit great and are very comfortable. Good arch support and good toe box. Fully waterproof do to the Gortex membrane. This is my third pair of these. After 2 years of heavy use they loose their tread, like most shoes. The Gortex is still functional, though. I think they are also a good looking shoe.

Great Shoe!
I got these shoes for my husband and he liked the look right out the box. When he put them on he said they were so comfortable. We then proceed to take the dog on a 5 mile stroll through the woods and they beyond passed the approval rating of a very picky man!!

Solid Performance And Comfort
Based on other reviews of these and similar waterproof hiking shoes running narrow, I ordered mine in a wide width. They fit perfectly. The shoes are comfortable and performed well over 4 days of hiking Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

Very Comfortable
I've scoured the internet for good hiking shoes and finally settled on these. Because of store closures, I must have ordered at least 4 different hiking shoes online I have slightly wide feet and these Danners fit the best. They bottoms are very grippy and I was confident hiking down wet rock as there was no slippage, just confident traction. They don't feel too hot even though they are gore-tex and that's coming from someone who mostly hikes in southern California warm weather.

My husband wears boots to work around our farm and wanted a low Boot Type Shoe, he tried these shoes and loves them. The Vibram Sole is a plus. Great Shoe.

Looks Good, Feels Good, Works Well
I bought these shoes about a month ago after a buddy of mine showed off his pair. These are the most comfortable shoes I've worn in a very long time. They run true to size, they breathe well, the grip is top notch, the cushioning is enough but not too plush. I wear these on the trails and around town. They look good in both environments. I'm buying another pair in different color and would definitely recommend these to others.

Comfortable; Order A Size Up
Breaking them in around the house; they are comfortable, but even after ordering a wide, 1 size bigger they *just* fit. I think they will hold up well. Seem to be put together well.

Great Looking Shoe, But ...
Visual wise, the Danner Trail 2650 shoes is an extremely attractive looking shoe (I ordered the blue suede color option) that could easily be worn all day on the trail and than worn for an evening in town. Functional wise, unfortunately, is a slightly different story, at least for me. I found the ankle collar to be stiff and ridged, resulting in the collar cutting into my ankle; yes, very uncomfortable. Danner should add padding to the collar to eliminate this problem. As for cushion and comfort throughout the sole of the shoe, I was disappointed that the shoe, for me, failed to live up to its hype of superior cushion and comfort. I'm on my feet all day, and wearing these shoes, my feet were feeling tired before the morning was over. I really wanted to like these shoes, but, if you have to talk yourself into liking a pair of shoes, as I was trying to do with these shoes, than chances are, it's not the right pair of shoes for you. Fit wise, I felt that the shoes were true to size; I wear a size 10.5 dress shoe and a size 11 in everyday athletic and running shoes. I went with a size 11 in the Danner's and the fit felt right. After weighing the pros and cons of this shoe, Ultimately, I decided I had to return them. Would I recommend this shoe? If you're interested in this shoe, I would certainly recommend giving the shoe a try and see how it works for you. Everyone's feet are different. The issues that were problems for me, may not be a problem for you.

Terrible!
Although they look good, these shoes are extremely uncomfortable. The tongue gusset folds back on itself creating a painful pressure point on the instep near the top eyelet. Even after attempts to break them in, they remained extremely uncomfortable. I am very appreciative of Dick's return policy.
