I’ve used the pole a couple of times and I’m happy so far. Easy to use. Quality is definitely good for the price.

I bought this a month ago. It's been an awesome reel for my son. Use it everyday.

WORKED OK. GOT HUNG UP MORE THAN I WOULD HAVE LIKED

The reel cast far and retrieves pretty smooth for how cheap the setup cost. It does feel cheap with the plastic housing. I put a different handle on it that came off a bait caster which makes it feel better.

I really wanted to like this combo. It’s sharp looking and I just like spincast combos for specific lures . I gave it 2 stars because the rod is worth $10-15. I know the entire combo only cost 30 but not worth it. Stick with a zebco for that price. It constantly stops mid cast like you and locks like you began to reel it in. Worst of all something inside tangles up the line to where you need to take entire reel apart pull yards of line out , untangle, and respool. This pole began this way the first time I opened it and has done so half a dozen times since. I even pulled all the line off last night and respooled with aftermarket line. Needless to say today six casts in and it did it again. I thought a bait caster was frustrating ( in the beginning) but this definitely takes the crown. Garbage reel, but I’ll slap a 20 yr old zebco on the rod and get back it.

Actually bought this combo just to get the Daiwa Samurai rod to put a Daiwa Gold Cast on. It is hard to find a good spin cast rod to go with a premium spin cast reel that my granddaughter likes to use for plastic baits around bridge pilling. However after inspecting the silver cast that came with the combo, we will use it for crappie gig fishing on a 12 foot crappie rod.

I wanted a simple plain fishing pole. I love this fishing pole more than any others that I have use. Its simple to easy to use and I love the simple look of it.

I always thought closed reels were for kids, but I love the control I get with this combo. I can put the bait right were I want to. I have used only for fresh water and it hasn't let me down. I don't know how it will do in saltwater maybe a bit short. I definitely recommend for pond and stream fishing.

Have to take it apart 2 or 3 times for every 2 hours of fishing to fix the line. The line gets tangled inside and sometimes wraps around in front of the spool. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money on a better setup.

This rod is well made and functions properly. No complaints.

I bought this for someone who came up to visit, I didn’t want to spend a lot because it would only get used a few times and then I was going to keep it as a backup pole. Within the first hour of fishing with it the the gears you could hear grinding it was smooth for a couple casts and then started to deteriorate real quick.
