Smooth Drag

The reel has a smooth drag, and no slop or freeplay in the gears or handle upon retrieve. It balances very well on my Dobyns Kaden 712. It feels like what you'd expect from a Daiwa reel. It's a good bang for your buck at this price point.

Great Budget Spinning Reel

I bought this reel on sale just as a reel to put on an extra rod but was amazed at how smooth this reel is. It feels better than my Daiwa Fuegos. Granted it doesn’t have the same sealing and the drag isn’t as good but for the money it is a great reel. I don’t believe you can find another reel with 9 bearings for this price.

Only negative is product did not come with the box. If i had known this would have ordered elsewhere. The reel itself is really nice. Nice drag and is very smooth. I like the lightness of the reel. First time buying a daiwa. Very impressed!

Don’t Buy It If You’re Going To Use In Salt Water Like A River!!!!!!! Oh

I bought bought this real like 6 or 7 months ago in the summer it was very hard to get fishing gear where I was from at Dick‘s because everyone was buying it I just picked up the Saint Croix and why do decent fishing reel but this reel was the only one that was left and I was going to use it in salt water and it looks like a fresh water reel i’m not the one to bash on stuff because I should’ve known better but if you’re planning on using us in salt water please do not buy it!!!!!!! I caught 3 or 4 fluke in the river at most in a week and every time I used it when I’m done I rinse it off of fresh water after like two weeks of owning it The real slowly start locking up and also with this reel that was surprise I didn’t have a spacer so when I put lying on it all the line would be on top maybe other people had luck but I didn’t have great luck with this reel but remember if you’re going to be using this reel in salt water I suggest spending more money on a nice reel because this one is like a freshwater reel!!!!!!
