A Clearance Bargain

I bought the rod/reel combo on clearance at Dicks. Very nice combo. Cast great. Very little backlash. The only issue I have is with the rod. The very last eye is so small, it’s almost impossible to tie on a leader.

Good Enough

I'm a big fan of Daiwa stuff and when I saw this I picked it up immediately but I was quickly disappointed with the rod. The rod feels way to soft to be a Medium Heavy power and the action of the rod isn't fast enough to help with how flexible the rod is. Reel was pretty good and I was pleased with it. Overall it will do the job for new anglers but the rod is spongy and you can barely feel anything.

Great Rod At A Great Price!

Just picked this up and was 20% off. Backlashed on first cast and didn’t happen again once dialed in. It’s very light which won’t wear you out. You can fling this thing too. Highly recommended!

Excellent Combo

I purchased this combo about 3 weeks ago and I wasn’t really sure because of price as to how well it would perform. I have to say that overall it performs better than I had expected and I’m looking to purchase a couple more in the future. You won’t be disappointed in performance and reliability!

Great Combo Even For Beginners

This is a great baitcaster combo. Even my brother who has never used one before was able to cast it didn’t even stop the spool and only got two very small back lashes. But once he started stopping the spool, he got none. The reel is smooth, seems pretty durable, the rod has a lot of backbone and casts a great distance.

I purchased this a month ago and there has been nothing but good things to say about this combo the reel is nice and smooth, the rod is strong, sensitive and gives a nice action. This combo does not feel cheaply made, the reel has plenty of personal adjustments to the drag and the casting resistance, all in all this is a good bang for your buck.
