Great Coat But Frustrating Zipper

As a 5'2" 100 lbs human, the XXS Cielo fits well and protects nicely against rain. I have only one, perhaps 2, pet peeves. The zipper is nearly unzippable. When you line them up, you cannot pull the zipper up. It stays stuck in the bottom. In many attempts, you the zipped parts will come apart such that one side of the coat sits higher than the other. Once this has happened, it is nearly impossible to undo. Every time I try to zip the coat up, it's frustrating. Zipping is successful after about 10 focused attempts. It shouldn't be this hard. The second pet peeve is that the hood does not have a drawstring through the edge. The edge of the hood, which circles your face, is hollow, so a drawstring can easily be pulled through, yet for minimalist style (i assume) it's missing. So, if it's raining and even slightly windy, the hood will blow off. The coat is therefore barely Atlanta-proof, and certainly not Amsterdam proof.

Love This Rain Coat!

Bought this for its longer length and it’s been great. I’m traveling in the Canadian Rockies now, it has come in handy with the intermittent rains. The longer length provides more coverage but it’s only a little larger when packed up.

Cute & Lightweight Raincoat!

I'm really happy with this coat! It's super lightweight, fits really well, and I love the Vapor/Chalk color. It looks great with casual outfits and is perfect for everyday wear. So far, I've only worn it in light rain, and it worked well. Overall, a great coat that I'm glad I bought!

Cielo Rain Trench - Women's

Nice length, a good addition to my rain jacket options. The back looks classy. Still works with my 5'2" height though longer than on the model.

Great Raincoat

I love this raincoat, it is high quality, light, and has a good cut. Bought it mostly for my long dog walks in Boston on rainy days but it is perfectly good for dressing for work.

Works Well So Far

After agonizing over what new raincoat to buy, I landed on the cielo rain trench due to the dual zippers and added length. So far it's done well for walks in the rain around the neighborhood for <10min. It only has 2 external hand pockets, but it cinches at the waist. The interior is soft and not crinkly, and I appreciate the back vent placement. Sizing fits well (I typically wear a small), but due to the stretch I can layer a Medium men's Patagonia bivy vest underneath. This also fits me well due to my wider shoulders than others who are around my frame size.

Not Waterproof

This raincoat is super cute and comfortable! Unfortunately, it does not hold up to rain. I wore it outside for about 40 minutes and was very damp under the coat by the time I took it off.

So Cute

I live in a place that gets snow, not rain so I don't have a raincoat for my upcoming trip to Scotland. I have sensory issues and I really hate crinkly raincoats. This cotopaxi Trench is more of a softshell style. It is comfortable and not crinkly. I have not had a chance to wear it in the rain yet, so can't speak of it's main function. I will not be surprised if it wets through, like many other reviews have mentioned. I will probably fortify it with a waterproofer before we go to Scotland. It is very thin and lightweight. The zipper is definitely stiff and took many tries to get the bottom one to zip up. But, it is absolutely adorable and if I have to wear a raincoat I want to look cute!!

I’ve been waiting to get this jacket and coveting it from afar - and it did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful color, it’s lightweight and breathable despite being waterproof, and it’s a nice cut. I love this brand.
