I wanted an easily packable kit for my backpack while walking the camino. What makes it great is having 4 different compartments to organize your stuff. No more digging through your bag to find things. And one compartment has an add'l zippered space which was great for things I wanted a bit more protected like earrings. Plus it's fun and colorful! I was traveling with my cousin and she ordered one while on the trip and my husband ended up getting one too.

I received a backpack in Fig as a gift earlier this year and was impressed with the storage as well as the comfortability of carrying it through two airports with a 3 year old. I purchased the nido accessory bag in fig to go with it and help me keep things organized in the bag and holy moly does it hold a lot. With three pockets I felt like I could keep all I needed in it without it taking up excessive space or being a giant jumbled mess.

Did I really need another toiletries bag? Noooo. But I love this one, and look forward to using it on all our adventures. Here’s what I really like: the recycled nylon fabric is lightweight but feels very durable, and is eco-friendly. Love the new fig color with navy interior and fun zipper colors. Great construction and super sturdy, from seams to lining to hardware… even the zipper pulls feel substantial. It’s small(ish) but really holds a lot. The two outside pockets have a kind of gusset construction, so you can really push out the sides if you’ve packed it full. On the other hand, it can squish down if you’re not carrying as much, or if you reduce the contents as the trip progresses. I like having that bit of structure with the ability to smash down if needed. Mostly, I love having three separate compartments with a zippered pocket in one side section, and three slip pockets in the other side. Lots of good organization makes it easy to find your goods. It doesn’t hang like some of my other bags, but I like the dopp design with a grab handle (easy to add a carabiner to it). I’m using it as a toiletries/cosmetics bag, but it would be a great tech bag, too. Or anything else you need it for – maybe your mini french press setup would fit?
