Waterproof Till Water Touches The Tongue

I have two pairs of these boots. They are waterproof on the toe, until the water touches the top of the tongue. The boot tongue is a padded tongue, which acts as a sponge and holds all the water/dew you are walking thru. Once the sponge tongue fills up, it squishes water inside the boot. Buy a pair of Crispi Boots if you truly want a waterproof hiking boot. If Columbia made the tongue leather and sewed it to the boot sides, it would be waterproof, but that is extra. Buy the Crispi boots, they do the extra. I wear my Crispi boots in the meadow and hunting, feet warm and dry. Everytime I wear my Columbia boots, my feet are wet.

Columbia Women's Hiking Boots

I love these hiking boots. They are comfortable, attractive (love the red laces!) and waterproof. To me they are more comfortable than sneakers for walking the dog I sit for. May buy them in another color! Oh, i forgot to mention the great ankle support!

Not Wide At All

As someone new to hiking boots, and who needs a wide shoe, I compared many options online and settled on these due to great reviews and a decent price point for a beginner. I have to say, I’m disappointed that these are considered a wide. They are very narrow, to the point I wouldn’t be able to wear thick socks. I’m also concerned they’re going to rub blisters on my toes due to how narrow they are. Note, I do not wear an extra wide, a normal wide fits me just fine. They do seem sturdy and like they will provide ankle support, but the cushion is awful. It’s a barely there millimeter thick cheap insole. I replaced them with some comfort inserts to make things better. I’m hoping to get at least a trip or two out of these without completely destroying my feet, but I definitely will be upgrading to something better fitting, and going in store to try on this time!

Great - Up To 10 Miles

I got these a year ago. Excellent for short - medium hikes. However I did 20 miles yesterday and they were terrible. Excruciating pain and multiple blisters. Durability is great but just couldn’t hold up when it came to harder trails.

Made Wrong

Watch when you buy these. I purchased them and one shoe is made crocked and hard to wear. It turns my foot inward.

Waterproofing Is Bad

Bought these over the summer and have been using them for farm work ( nothing too crazy) well winter rolled around and the waterproofing has completely given out. left me with wet feet in -10 degree weather...

Too Small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super cute but unfortunately it is not true to size. I got my usual size, a 12, which is what I get in any other shoe. I have wide feet and am actually an 11 but always get 12. Anyway I was so excited to try them on just now that I tried them on with no socks and my toe is scrapping against the front with no room for socks. Maybe I can take the soles out as I don’t feel like returning them but I’m disappointed because there’s no bigger size unless I go to mens

Not Waterproof

These are comfortable but not waterproof. Wore these for the first time today out and about in the forest and by the end of the day my feet and socks were wet.

Best Shoes Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best shoes I own. Purchased Jan 2023 and they have lasted right about to the end of 2025. I hike a lot (60+ trails per year), and I have worn these shoes to hike up mountains, go through rivers, and trek through sand. Traction has worn off just a little, but that is to be expected. The waterproofing is still awesome and works well. Super comfortable and lots of good ankle support. Literally my favorite shoes ever, I am about to buy the same pair and hopefully wear them out for the next 3 years.

Great Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these a few months ago for extra ankle support after injuring the left ankle. They are very comfortable, light and supportive. I didn’t feel a lot of cushion in them but I was able to do 5-6 miles a day with relative ease on uneven, varied surface terrain (muddy, roots and rocks, stone, asphalt). I’ve tried other brands but these are going to be my go to.

Waterproofing Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were waterproof for about 2 years. Keep in mind they probably only say action for a max of 80 days/ year. I have tried waterproofing them again with both wax and spray. Nothing worked. I expected a longer lifespan than 2 years. Traction is pretty good.

Great Hiking Boots

Second time purchasing these hiking boots. Absolutely love them. I'm a size 8-8.5 Woman's and wide, i purchased the 8.5. I can fit a pair of wool socks for extra warmth. They keep my feet dry as well. My favorite hiking boots!! Used in rough and wet terrain. The support is so comfortable!! The traction is great as well.

Definitely Would Buy Again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brought these about a month ago for my hiking trip in June, definitely did not break my ankle. I love them. Super comfortable and love the color of the shoes

Good Comfortable Boots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these for a trip to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier National Parks, where I knew I would be going on some challenging hikes. These boots were perfect on sand, rock, and snow! They are waterproof (though I didn't submerge them completely in water), which also means your feet will feel hot in the boots, but I think that is the trade-off. I saw at least 5 other girls with the same boots! I got some compliments as well. I'm a size 6.5 - 7 and I got a 7, but I wish I tried the 6.5 to compare. 7 was comfortable, my toes were not cramped and I was able to wear thick socks. I have flexible ankles and twist them a lot while hiking, so the extra ankle support was nice. When I wanted more flexibility, I laced up to the second-to-last aglet.

Received incentive

Super Comfortable

Used them out of the box and hiked 6 miles no problem.
