Great looking vest...Love it...FOR FALL....not a winter vest for winters in Minnesota.

Poor Design-flawed Collar Sweeps Your Lower Face

I am a huge fan of Columbia Sportswear but this design should never of left the board due to the horrible neck collar pouch which goes into your face when zipped up for warmth. I do not have a short neck by any means nor did the three other women who tried it on- each of us was surprised by the poor design which interfered with our faces when we all but held our heads up rigid to avoid being hit in the face by the collar which would also remove any makeup one was wearing from the nose down. Talk about not checking out your designs before going to the sewing manufacturer. A mock up and trial would of been a good idea. Loved the color and the rest of the design though and sad to have to return it and worse, to have to pay shipping to return a design flaw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this vest. It was exactly what I was looking for. Its warm, but feels lightweight when I wear it. It is just the right length for me. I like all the pockets and the two way zipper. The collar is soft.

Stylish, Toasty Warmth

They are a part of her daily outfit. She can get on with her day and be toasty warm. She especially likes the length - keeping her hips warm. We recently purchased two to give as gifts to other ‘cold’ relatives.

Great Layering Piece

[Employee of columbia] I really like this vest to throw on for a little added warmth. It's been great for early morning walks where I don't really need a heavy coat, but it's still cold outside. This vest keeps me warm without overheating. It's a great layering piece.

Everyday Wear

I love the length and warmth of this light weight vest. I live in South Dakota and yes this is warm even with the light weight which is so nice. I’m 5’10 165 and bought the large and it fits perfect

Just What I Was Looking For!

Wanted a new vest and found out that I really wanted a long vest! It keeps me warm running from the house to the car, to the store, back to the car and then back into the house without being bulky like regular winter coat. On super cold days it fits great under my winter coat! Love it!

Nice Stylish Colombia Jacket

Fantastic

I just realized Columbia had long vests, so I bought 3: this one, the Karis Gale and the Heavenly II Long. I like the other 2 better than this one, but I'm extremely happy with all of them. The fabrics, features, components, construction and quality are all top notch. This one has the biggest, boxiest fit - but it's still fine. If I could shorten the length an inch from the shoulder seam, I'd like it better. I'm 5'5" tall, 39", 32", 41" and got a M in all three. I can really feel the omni heat fabric add toasty warmth to this one and the Karis Gale. I don't really feel it in the Heavenly because it has less insulation, but I would probably feel it more during a brisk hike or cross country ski when I'm generating more heat. I haven't used it for anything like that yet. The Karis Gale feels like it has a little more insulation than this, which is soft as a cloud, and the outer fabric is silkier. It also fits me better. I'm still extremely happy with this one. I got the dark purple color and it's my favorite color available out of the 3. I have a few other long vests from other brands and the Columbia are the nicest ones. I a long vest almost every day from fall-spring so now I'll have a little more variety, can wear them literally every day, and these are an upgrade from my older ones.
