Was looking for a good midweight baselayer. The thermal lining definitely gives good warmth without much bulk. I wore on a slightly warmer day and was sweating, so better for colder days.

The Omni-Heat feature makes this midweight baselayer feel like heavyweights, but without the bulk. These are stretchy and VERY tight-fitting. I went a size larger and they feel perfect for me.

I run a gear lending program for youth groups and schools. This has been our go-to baselayer for several years. When paired with hiking pants and a waterproof shell, these are excellent for snowshoeing. A majority of our programs use this layering strategy to keep their students warm while snowshoeing.

So you ever look at an ad for a car and wonder why they advertise that the car has basic features. You know like maybe a steering wheel? Who would make a car without one right? So, about these long John’s. Or base layer pants, whatever you call them. Missing one feature that I’ve seen advertised for other base layers that I always assumed was like a dealer telling you the car had a steering wheel. Until now. It’s missing the fly so a guy can change the color of snow without barring his behind. Or half undressing. Important things when you spend time working and playing in the cold. Somehow I don’t believe that the designer had any actual outdoor cold weather experience. Who goes out in the woods and then has their pants around their ankles (slight exaggeration, but bare with me here…) when relieving themselves. Yes my wife is laughing her behind off at me for this and saying, “welcome to my world.” But seriously Columbia, have you not been out in sub zero weather and had to just let it go? Or even just in the mens room. An extra flap of fabric goes a long way in the actual functionality of clothes. The two times I’ve worn them I keep reaching only to be stopped in my tracks…. So buyer be warned. And note that there is no quick access to relieve yourself without dropping your drawers, at least part way. Too bad I bought these the end of last winter…..

I bought this on cyber-monday and they are a Blessing! I wore these on a day with a high temp. of 3 degree and the wind chill was -14 below and when I went outside, they worked like a charm! I am praising God for the fact you make big and tall. Please make sure you keep more big and tall items no matter what. The thermal tops for this was a better fit than i expected. PERFECT FOR ALASKA!

These are good if you are working indoors with some outdoor activity. If you are spending lots of inactive time outdoors I would suggest a heavier layer. Im 5'10" 190lb and a large was perfect.

My husband works outside in the cold winters I got him one pair back in January and since then I have gotten him 3 more pairs and even myself a pair. He has said it keeps him warm so I’m satisfied about the product!

Keeps you warm. feels nice on the skin. lightweight and not clunky. Footholes a little small but its fine because then the material is nice and snuck over your ankle region

These are thin yet so warm. I am able to wear them under my jeans without feeling bulky. The silver lining really works. I have a super warm Columbia jacket, so I just need to keep my legs warm. These are the ticket!

Very comfortable and warn. I warm them skiing on a cold windy day here in the Pacific Northwest. Performed just as described. Will purchase again.
