I bought this folding knife for general purposes, daily carry. Cold Steel never disappoints; at least Andrew Demko and Lynn Thompson”s designing job have never disappoint me at all. Hope Cold Steel keeps up on the same track in the years to come, making strong knives like this AD-10.

A solid, well built folding knife with a nice appearance that feels unbreakable. I have been using this knife nearly every day with no issues so far. It’s a big knife with a comfortable handle. The extra thick blade ensures this knife will get the job done.
Much bigger than I was hoping for. This is more of an EDC back pack knife not a pocket carry

Ive been through multiple brands of knives, mostly Cheap ones, but this one is worth every single penny. I carry and use this thing daily, I am in construction work. The lock up is tight and stays that way, even when being used daily as a pry tool, or whatever you need it for.

After two and a half years with an AD-10 Lite, I finally got the OG version. The Lite is a good knife, but this version really feels 'special' (I'm not saying that because I paid more for it) The handle in G-10 feels really nice in hand. I'm not certain about this, but it seems like the contour for the lower part of the handle is slightly different; feels slightly nicer around my fingers. The overall build of the knife is practically perfect; except for the top screw for the clip still slightly too long compared to the others. I've always loved the AD-10 design. To me it's the perfect size and weight for what you're getting (better toughness, and excellent ergonomics). I'm only a few years in with folders and most of my other knives are bigger fixed blades; but if you're in the market for a folder, get this one. Highly recommended.

So I was a Kershaw guy for years, but as I have been trying to spend more time hiking and being outdoors I wanted something with a little more heft and a stronger lock while still being compact enough for EDC. So I ordered the 4Max Scout. Well that was a little too large for EDC but still an awesome knife which will be accompanying me on my camping and canoeing adventures foe sure. Anyway I finally settled on the AD10 and hit the sweet spot. Still heavier than my Kershaw, it’s still small enough ti be a daily pocket knife while still being hefty enough for a few hours in the woods. Definitely gwtting more Cold Steel knives this year.

Very large Knife. The overly stiff clip makes it difficult to install into or remove from your pocket. The location of the clip causes it to ride “high” in your pocket so it’s not very discreet. I miss the ease in which I could flick open or closed my SOG X-RAY Vision with one hand. These are two very different knifes, so maybe it’s not fair to compare them, but the AD-10 is a two handed knife on occasion. You have to be careful if trying to stow the blade with one hand. It can be done, but you have to be careful as it’s wicked sharp.

Bought one 2 years ago and have no complaints, just a great knife, everything i need in the field. Then i bought the 4max scout and never used the ad10 again. AD10 is great, 4max scout is better. Strictly speaking of functionality, not materials.AD10 has better steel and g10 handles
