Shoes Are Very Well Made But Won't Work For Me, Unfortunately.

Summary: Really loved the look of the shoes and they're made very well, but they were uncomfortable for my feet. I think the shoes ended up being too narrow. I'll be returning them, unfortunately :( Details: I'm usually a 10 in boots and 9.5-10 in most shoes. I ordered both the 9.5 and 10 because I've never worn Carhartt shoes before. The 9.5 fit fine, the 10 fit almost just as well but there was more toe room than I wanted. The shoe itself is very well made and I love that they are slip resistant and have a safety toe. They are very sturdy and feel like they'd last a while. I am on my feet a lot for my second job, so I was hoping to use these for that. I noticed immediately that the shoes felt very tight around the middle my foot; they weren't tight around my toes or heel, just the middle. Tried walking around the house thinking maybe I needed to stretch them out a bit. But even after a few hours, my feet began to really hurt (sore feeling). Felt like I'd been walking around an amusement park all day after wearing them only 15-20 minutes. I'm in my late 20s so I don't have feet issues. I think my feet are just too wide for these shoes, perhaps. I don't wear shoes in a size wide, but I also don't have slim, petite feet. Tried loosening up the laces, that didn't help.
