Comfortable Coat

The coat is comfortable. I am 5'11'' and weigh about 218 lbs with a waist of 45. I bought the extra large and it fits me very well. The coat is warm and I can move easily. The coat seems to be sturdy and well made. The only problem I have with it is the zipper. I find it difficult to operate at times which is frustrating.

Great Coat But Heaver Than I Need

I really like this coat but it's much heavier than I need. It's well insulated and very rugged. I was looking for a lighter weight coat, so I'll be returning this one. Also, I think the LT that I ordered was a little big for me in the body and sleeve length. I'd probably try a MT if I was to order it again. (I'm 6'4", 198 lbs.)

Great Features, Perfect Warmth

I've had this coat for a few weeks now and have worn it pretty much daily. It is super versatile, you can dress it up a bit to business casual or walk the dog in sweat pants and it still looks good. The full swing arm design is true to its name. I have no problem chopping wood while wearing it and the two way front zipper means I can actually get full range of motion at my hips, not just my arms. The hand pockets are huge and hold my gloves and hat when I'm not wearing them. The canvas fabric is obviously bomber and covers some warm thinsulate. There is also a draw cord waist so you can cinch it in to not get a draft coming up from your waist. The draw string is also high enough that with the bottom of the two way zipper raised for movement the waist stays cinched for warmth without interfering with movement. Bottom line I couldn't be happier. If there is anything I could complain about it is reclosing the heavy duty two way zipper when the bottom has been raised. It takes two hands because the bottom is a little tricky to bring back together sometimes.

Great Coat, Roomier Than Expected

Everything you read in the other comments are accurate - Carhartt makes the best quality apparel money can buy. The “full swing” feature maximizes flexibility. You can expect to have this coat for life. Like the size charts and other reviews as well, the sizing is generous, so even with layering, expect plenty of room. Size down for a closer fit (I wear an XL in everything and got a L). Do t hesitate and buy!

Great Looking Coat

Fits great and looks great perfect for upland game hunting and working around the farm. And, warm enough without causing over heating. Also easy to move and very durable construction.

Not Bulky Or Stiff But Very Warm And Snugglie!

I bought it to do small chores outside a two family house (raking leaves, shoveling snow, putting garbage containers at the curb side, etc.) You don't feel like a pinguin that's bundled up doing any chores outside the house!
