They are warm and comfortable and didn't take too long to break in. But that is part of a problem. On the inside portion of the boot near the arch of the foot there is a one-inch or so long seam. It breaks on the inside and then compromises the waterproof rating. It will then act like a pump with each stepping action to pull water into the boot. The insulation is a benefit in dry and cold environments, but with the introduction of water, puddles, rain, etc. and the break in this seam, it becomes soggy quickly. I got this pair in December, wore them through January until mid May, which is when the seam broke. I expect boots to take a beating and eventually break irrepairably with the work I do, but this was less than my normal expectation, which is a little over a year. I am disappointed as I normally buy Carhartt boots for work, this is the first pair that had a significant issue in less than a year.

It Could Be Better
This one has to have the Goodyear welt feature or direct attached or a 3/4 welt . I have really bad neuropathy that I'm not even 40 yet I'll be 40 in 2 months And it's a shame of this boot is not 600 to 1000 g

Decent Boot
I'm about 7 months into eating this boot and I am happy with it so far. They are comfortable and warm and at the end of the day they did their job. I had been warned about Carrhartts boots in the past so it's nice to see I didn't waste my money. That being said, I do have a few issues. The rubber on the toe wore through relatively quickly to the point where I can see the alloy shining through, though it hasn't become an issue yet. I also find that the laces also slip out of their knot easily so that I keep having to retie them during a lot of very active work. It took longer to break in than I'm accustomed to, during which the high ankles would pinch whenever I squatted. It went away once broken in though. All in all, good for it's price and it works as advertised.

Not good at all, I have a bruise on my inner right ankle due to the boot folding itself when I walk. Not sure if it's too late to return which I would love to. I wish I could of given it 0 rating.

They are comfortable. Kinda ate my heel up a bit but they are new boots so it is expected. But over all I am very happy with them.
