Those that say this cup leaks must have a defective cup. I've had mine for couple of years now and not one leak. The leakproof-ness of this cup is why I bought it in the first place and it has not disappointed me. Where the design needs improvement is in the total weight, weight distribution and assembly/disassembly. This thing is HEAVY empty so imagine what it weighs with 40oz of fluid in it. It goes into the car and stays there. Sadly I needed a cup I could carry around. I would strongly recommend the 30oz. if this s an issue for you. Secondly, it dents and scratches more easily than advertised which was disappointing. Lastly, its s process to take this cup apart to clean it. The magnetic straw part is quite difficult to separate from lid itself. Good quality, well made. Still a decent cup for the price.
