I have been wearing Ghosts for about a decade now and this new version was just too much of a change...in a bad way. The size is bigger which is weird, so my normal 10.5 was too big. And the top of the shoes hit the inside of my ankle bone in the worst way. It just came up too high. Had to return. Very uncomfortable overall.

Harder Material/foot Pain
I am so unhappy that I have to leave a negative review because for the past 10 years I have always worn Brooks and specifically the Ghost! These new Ghosts are designed so that you can just slide your feet in without having to untie/stretch them so what that means is the material being used is not as soft and "malleable" they are stiffer and are hurting mainly the sides of my feet all around and especially around the ankles!! I am now looking for an older one hoping a store somewhere still has the Ghost 16 being sold in my side somewhere.

Great Shoes
They run big compared to my last pair of ghosts. I had gotten a size 10 for my last pair and I had to return these to get a size 9. I have only worn them for a short session of hill runs, but they were so comfortable. I can't wait to take them out for a longer run!

Brooks Ghost 17 Running
Excellent comfort and fitting shoe. Great for walking and or running. First pair and definitely would buy again.

Comfortable Without Being Bulky
I usually wear Hokas and I love them but wanted to try something different that would be a little more stylish and less bulky without sacrificing too much comfort. These were perfect. They aren’t too heavy and give good support. The only thing I noticed was that it rubbed the inner ankle of my right foot but I think that is just my feet/fit but once I wore them in some I have had no issues. Will buy again.
