Great Trail Shoe

Really no break in period, they are comfortable and fast right out of the box. Good traction on mountain trails and protection from rocks underfoot. I've been really happy with Catamount since version 1 and this one is no different.

Size Up

Was very dissapounted in thus shoe as I have never owned a pair of brooks shoes and wanted to get the right size before ordering. I went to the store and tried 3 different models of brooks and was happy with the fit as they all seemed to fet well. However, I could not find this particular model in the store but since the other models that I tried on all seemed to fit the same I was confident in placing my order for a size 10. I received my order in a week and was excited to get this pair of shoes until I put them on. Horrable fit! I normally wear a 9.5 -10 and these shoes in size 10 are actually about a size 9. I didn't appreciate the inconvenience of receiving such a poor fitting shoe that I will likely not try this brand again.

Meh

Was surprised at the lack of arch support and the shoe is very rigid without much flexion as you travel over uneven terrain. If your looking more for support then I guess this shoe offers that in the sense that it has a lot of stability. Over all was disappointed in its performance for the larger price tag.

Really Miss Catamount 1

I don't like these as much as I love Catamount 1. Could you release the original Catamount 1 version? Thanks!

I LOVE these trail shoes. They arrived at the last minute, so I wore them out of the box on a 22 mile mountain trail run. They are so comfortable that my feet were not on my mind during the run. I ran through a water crossing twice and the shoes dried quickly. They had excellent grip on the terrain, which was just outside the Yosemite NP south entrance. I have bunions but did not even feel them with these shoes. I have worn them on several 18-24 mile mountain trail runs since then and my feet love them! Excellent trail running shoe!
