Still The Best Shoe Around

Responsive and supportive. Great shoe! Been running in Brooks for 20 years and never had a reason to change to another brand (I tried all the others, but Brooks was superior). Have lasted well through Marathons, ultra's and Ironman Triathlons.

Pure Ecstasy - And Its Only A Shoe!

This is the first shoe I could find in several years that was not of the awful, soft "novel", high stack foam that provided no enjoyment while running. The Launch 12 is what a running shoe should be - firm, supportive and fun! Let me tell you, I've felt it. This shoe is the real deal. This is how it feels while running: upon the first foot strikes the shoe feels firm, shock absorbent and peppy. Then as you enter into a steady pace at a run you feel very little resistance. Leg turnover is effortless. You are on top of the pavement and in command of the road. However, as supportive as the the shoe is it does not have strong stability features. Quick pivots or even faster turns you can feel a slight instability as the foams compresses and slides to the side. But sure enough it snap backs and your back on track. Running in a straight line it is plenty stable. But it's not perfect a shoe, the heel (of the midsole) could be firmer, the tongue should definitely be improved. Without window lacing I would not be able to run in them. It was a nasty pinch on the top of my right foot. Thank you AI for telling me about window lacing. You saved the day, or rather life. I really mean the later. Other than that this shoe is pure ecstasy. Well, I don't particularly like the slow paces in them (kind of hard, blocky and not smooth) but I mostly only run at a good steady pace, maybe 8:30 min per mile, 6 miles total, and at that speed they are gold! I'm telling you fellow runners - this is it! Definitely something you look forward to. And all the many seen and unseen healthy benefits that follow.

Just Didn't Work For Me

I bought these with the idea that the lighter weight would work for tempo runs, unfortunately things didn't click. Felt "tight" and unresponsive. My wife also has these and loves them. Thant's ok. Dick's return policy was easy and I have decided to try a different manufacturer instead.

I wear custom orthotics, and finding a shoe that provides the right combination of comfort, support, and performance is extremely important to me. The Launch 12 works great with my orthotics, feels lightweight, and gives me the comfort I need while putting in consistent miles. I love how natural and responsive they feel without being bulky. Brooks continues to earn my trust, and the Launch 12 has definitely earned its place in my running rotation. Five stars from me! 💪🏻🏃🏻‍♂️

Perfect Balance Of Weight And Comfort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Launch 12 is the perfect running shoe for me. I am a light (57kg), neutral runner (5 min/km pace) and they provide a good balance of weight and cushioning. Previous to these I had Hyperion which I found to be too thin in the sole for me. You could feel every indentation on rough surfaces such as gravel. I now use the Hyperions for cross training (Martial Arts). Then I tried Hyperion Max. I felt I was too slow a runner for them. The Max seemed to come into their own at speed (<4 min/km) but I can't maintain that rate for very long these days. So back to the Launch 12 (I have also had Launch 5 and 7), and I am very happy.

An Improvement Over The 11s

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure exactly what they changed between the 11 and the 12s, but these are an improvement. They feel lighter, faster, and more responsive. Plus at longer distances (20+ miles), the 11s would start to give me blisters, but that is no longer a problem with these.

Great Everyday Shoe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The launch 12 improved on the 11 and has a bit more room in the toe box which makes a difference. This is the best shoe in the lineup as it has a great balance between structure and comfort. It is increasingly hard to find shoes that don't feel like you are standing on a foam mattress and these are the best option I have found. Great everyday shoes

I bought a size 13 for my grandson and they are too big. I need to return them for a smaller size. Need to know how to do this. He loves Brooks shoes as do I.
