Great Cushioning For The Trail
There are three distinct things I like about these sneakers. 1) There’s more than sufficient room in the toe box to make trail running or hiking comfortable. 2) these sneakers are light without feeling compromised or cheap. 3) I am flat footed and the cushioning and rebound are just about perfect for my needs. They might not feel as fast as let’s say HOKA Speedgoats, but they feel great on inclines where you need composure for sound footing and like I mentioned before, there’s enough room in the toe box on downhills where you don’t feel as if your toes are being pinched. I can see myself buying another pair. I have narrow feet so these are perfect for me. These sneakers replaced Nike Pegasus Trail and I feel like the platform on these Brook’s are more composed. Also, the top of the sneakers are made of a more solid knit fabric that repels dust and dirt better than the Nikes and will like provide better coverage if you get caught in the rain.

First Time, Brooks Customer, Extremely Comfortable Shoes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first experience with Brooks shoes. And I’m very pleasantly surprised on how comfortable they truly are. I love the style and the fact that they’re offered in wide. This is the reason why I chose to give them a try. These shoes are rated as stable. I can’t wait to try the plush. I highly recommend this product.

Brooks Ghost Trtail
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the Ghost Trailtack on 6/4/2026. Typically, I wear an 8 shoe size. With Brooks shoes I wear an 8.5. This is my 3rd Brooks shoe. All are 8.5 shoe size. The Ghost Trail is probably the most comfortable shoe I have purchased in many years. Excellent support and comfort. I mid July 2026 I was on a Canadian fishing trip and I stood off and on for over 5 hours with no foot discomfort. On 7/7/2026 I hiked up Twin Creek Trail to Twin Peaks. This is near Winter Park ski area in Colorado. The climb was approximately 1900 feet in elevation gain in 2.4 miles. Absolutely, no foot pain, no blisters. These shoes rock. If your feet fit Brooks shoes I would highly recommend this model.

Dependable Trail Runner, With A Great Aesthetic. Thanks Brooks!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm trying the Ghost Trail runners for the first time, and so far I'm impressed. I usually buy Cascadias, but I like the look of the Ghosts better and have even been wearing them casually. I also took them on my first hike, and they performed great with no issues.
One theory I have is that trail runners may actually be a good option for heavier runners, even on pavement. When the lugs contact hard surfaces like concrete, they seem to compress and deform just a bit before fully gripping. It's almost like the tiny amount of natural forward movement your foot gets on dirt or sand, except controlled enough that you never actually feel like you're slipping. It's not extra cushioning. It feels like the impact is spread out over a fraction of a second instead of stopping instantly, and to me that makes the landing feel a little smoother.

Great Shoe - A Little Smaller Than Usual
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in the PNW, I wanted a shoe that was a balance between being an athletic fit, having grip for our wet PNW days, and having a more casual look than a typical running shoe. These have been absolutely great. They’re comfortable and casual enough to wear around the office, and I absolutely love the ebony colorway. I have low back issues, and the firmness of these shoes has been very helpful.
My main gripe with these is that they are slightly narrower and shorter than my Gylcerins and Cascadias. If I were to use these running, I would maybe size up a half size, but I also haven’t worn these enough to know how much they’ll break in. But, for casual everyday office use, the size has been fine.
Also, I’m not sure why the tongues are not gusseted. I have high arches, and, paired with these somewhat narrow tongues, I sometimes can see my socks around the side of the tongue because of how much they get pressed up and become somewhat bunched together.
Overall, I’ve been really happy with this shoe!

Best Trail Shoe Ever
This is my second pair of Ghost Trails. I trained and wore these shoes on the Camino Santiago and they were absolutely awesome. No blisters, comfortable,
Feet didn’t sweat, fantastic grip, never slipped once - just the best trail shoe I have ever worn. Covered 1000 klms in them and did at least 300 for training.

Slight Disappointment Coming From Ghost 17
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Avid user of the Ghost model along with the Adrenaline. Purchased these and used them on a few trails in Colorado. Coming from the Ghost 17, I noticed a dramatic loss of bounce and overall cushion/comfort. Ran around 12 miles in them over a couple of days and feet have been extremely sore. Will switch back to the Ghost 17 which has been an amazing shoe and look for other trail-ready models

Comfortable Not Worth The Price
These shoes are extremely comfortable, however after 6 months, they are completely falling apart, inside and out.
