Better Than Hoka
I take around 100K steps/week (love the gym after losing 170 pounds!), so I can honestly say that I put serious mileage on my shoes. Hoka just wasn't staying up with my intensity. Changes in their customer support and rapidly declining durability forced me to look for alternatives. I initially went into Dick's to try on a Nike Free Metcon 7, but they were hitting my ankles too high for comfort.
I had been a Brooks fan pre-2022 when I moved to Hoka, and this shoe is bringing me back to Brooks. It hits my foot well for support but doesn't cramp the toes (like Nike). The cushion is slightly less than Hoka, but it's a trade-off I'm willing to make. These look really great, and I haven't had no issue breaking them in. They are slightly heavier than the Hoka Mach 6, but it's not been enough to slow me down.
My only complaint is that the color selection is heavily limited. I wish they had more color choices than what they currently have. But the actual feel and fit of the shoe is fantastic! I'll report back in a few months for durability.
