More Foam, Less Heel Security

I've been a brooks ghost runner for years now through many iterations. 17 fits different. More foam and more bounce. Fit issues with more shallow heel- my specific heel sliding around the shoe with normal use despite using the heel ties. Not a fan! I don't feel secure during my runs unless I have the extra heel knots tied very tight. Additionally, all this extra foam, the foam soles have worn .5" already along the back edges.

Best Support Of Any Athletic Shoe I've Purchased.

Due to both knees bad (7 surgeries).. the Ghost model gives the most support of any athletic shoe I've worn. This opinion goes back to the Ghost 13.

Had Ghost Max previously.... they are tighter than typical running shoes had rubbing on small toes.
