Great Hiking Shoes Too

I was on the fence of buying trail shoes or hiking boots for my Yellowstone and Grand Tetons trip. I am so glad I chose the Cascadia. We hiked 50 miles of trails. Bunsen peak, Mt Washburn (95% snow on trail), Signal Mtn, Cascade Canyon, and a few others. The lugs on the shoes had terrific grip, the stiffness/responsiveness of the shoe helped pushing off when going uphill. Even in the snow they stayed dry! No gaiters or anything. Would definitely recommend them for hiking, likely great for running too.

Same Great Feel—terrible Durability

Cascadia has been my (and my family’s) go to for years, unfortunately it seems the 18s have new/cheaper materials that just do not hold up. I have 1000s of miles on a few pairs of 17s and none of them have wear like this. These are failing badly after just a couple months and not that many miles. Have switched back to my best pair of 17s and will start the search for my next go to. Maybe Brooks will fix it for the 19s. On the positive side not much has changed in feel of the shoes.

Comfortable And Light Weight

Bought them for my husband, they are very comfortable and lightweight. Very cushiony but not bulky. They have good traction on the bottom.

Let's Hope The Absurdly Over Cushioned Trend Ends Soon

More durable than the last brand I tried but the soles are absurdly overstuffed and large. Waaaay too much cushion.
