The Bomber Long A is a legendary slender minnow jerkbait made for twitching for bass and trolling/casting for big walleyes, salmon and other gamefish. The Long A mimics a minnow’s lifelike swimming action when trolled or retrieved at a constant pace, but darts erratically to the side when retrieved with a “twitch-twitch-pause” cadence. Multiple color patterns means there’s a Long A perfect for your day of fishing.

Tried & True

I've been trophy bass fishing in central Florida since 1969, and still going strong. This original "#15A" Bomber Long-A is a favorite among seasoned bass anglers here in Florida. Most of our lakes & rivers have clear, but "stained" water, and this is where this lure just keeps producing. In addition to its great swimming action, this lure has the very best "slow rise" of all the minnow type hard jerk baits, hands down. The rise is so slow, it almost "suspends". It can be worked as a surface/sub-surface lure with a twitch, twitch, pause & allow it to come to the surface, or fished 2 to 3 feet deep with the same "twitch, twitch, pause", only don't allow it to rise to the surface. ABSOLUTELY DEADLY, and also attracts & catches big bass. My 2 favorite colors are "Gold Prism/Black Bars/Orange Belly"......and "Chartreuse Flash/Black Back/Orange Belly". ( The chartreuse really looks more like a dull gold & really does "flash" in the water. ) The larger 4.5" version with triple trebles is far better for our monster bass here. These lures are very tough & last forever, except for the hooks. The rotating hooks work great, but they bend too easily. Use them, but upgrade the trebles soon, and MAKE SURE to use hooks that weigh nearly the same, or they WILL impede the terrific action of the lure. This lure works great year round down here, and I ALWAYS have it ready to fish on one of my rigs. One of my top "GO-TO" lures. Hard to find in many areas, so THANK YOU GUYS for carrying them!!!

Great Lure!!!

Let's cut to the chase. If someone offered me an all expense paid trip to the best Bass lake in the world, with one caveat, that I could not take this Bomber 14A with me I would not go.

Catches pike, smallmouth, largemouth, and walleyes! Fire River Minnow is my favorite.

Versatile Lure

This is another one of my go-to lures. I find it to be very versatile, I use it as a wake bait or twitch and rise presentation; or just straight crank in. Either way this bait works for me for Slime Gators or Bass. the colors i found best are gold prism black bars orange belly, on my lake back home brook trout funnel into the lake where the Slime Gators wait for them i find that color match's the food source best. & when I'm fishing Lake Erie or Ontario blue back either silver flash or prism works for me thanks for another great lure!!
