Good balanced weight, only thing I'd change is cutting some of the height down. Does the job.

Sooo light, but still climbs well if you need to bootpack up to a pass. Worth getting, even if you have a pick already, soo much lighter, it just sits in your pack and you do not notice it.

Love the flexibility to use with a shovel, pommel, or different heads.

I was looking to lighten my summit pack weight. This is the lightest axe I could find. It is plenty sturdy and durable.

Super light weight, Bought for my Ski Mountaineering setup. Works great 100% recommend.

This is just about as small as you can make an ice axe while still having it be functional. It's very light, and although the head is more ergonomic than many of these mini-axes, it's still not as comfortable as the Raven. The changeable pick is a nice touch, as is the spot to add a hammer. The adze is rather blunt and I ended up filing a sharper edge onto it. The spike is extremely sharp. I think there's an opportunity to provide other types of spikes so you could switch in a Raven-type spike, for example--why not lean in to the possibilities of interchangeable parts? This is a good axe for skiing, but I also plan to use it with the hammer attachment as a backup and picket-hammer for mountaineering.

As it is, this piolet makes perfect sense. Add on the modular enhancements and now you have the most versatile tool for your winter adventures. My only original concern was the sturdiness of the modular system, I can now say, this tool is solid!

Wanted a second ice axe but didn't want the weight. Took this on a Goode Mt trip, did the Goode Stormking Col descent and this light weight axe performed! Can't wait for further adventures with the Venom!

I've had a few ultra light axes that are great for lightweight use, but this axe feels a bit more like a normal "real" axe in terms of pick length and adze size (albeit still a pretty diminuitive adze). I love that it mates with my transfer LT shovel blade!

Lightweight, no frills solid piolet for spring ski missions

LOVE how light it is, plus pairing with the lightest UIAA rated shovel on the market?! *chefs kiss*

I got this pick for ski mountaineering, wanted it to be light but still trustworthy when it get icy. It is very light and you hardly feel it with the other avy gear, but it handles well in steep snow and feels robust.

Absolutely love this thing. Incredibly light, but does the job as expected. Feels great in the hand, and it's compact size fits wonderfully on my touring packs.
