Great Hiking Poles

I bought these to finish my long section hike of the AT. I am 69 and young having done 1/2 the trail in year one and hoping to finish the balance next year. I need reliable equipment and these fit the bill. PapaGrinch

Great Trekking Poles

I'm really happy with these poles, a definite upgrade to my older heavier metal poles. These are super light, easy to adjust, strong, and I like the straps too.

Durable

Bought this for two sessions of 10-mile hiking in great smoky mountains. They did a great job and reduces a lot of workload when pushing upward. My 2 friends purchased 2 pairs for themselves as soon as we got back.

Awesome Poles

Bought these to use on my A T Thru Hike attempt in 2022. Used them this past week on a shake down trip and they were by far the best poles I have ever used. I have 3 other sets of poles in my hiking closet. The cork handles and the angle make a major improvement in my older poles. The cam locks work as they should and stay where you set them. In addition the tent I carry uses my new poles as my tent frame. I cannot be more happy with the performance of these trekking poles.

Great Poles!

Great poles for hiking! Haven’t tested them fully yet. But has great feel, and has worked great so far! Would recommend for someone that doesn’t want to spend $200.

Great Trecking Poles!

I love the cork handles. They are super comfortable and the ergonomic shape really helps my wrists from getting sore. Plus, they are pretty dang light weight.

Very Good Hiking Poles

My first pair of hiking poles, l've been using them for 3 months. They are quite comfortable in my hands and my pace picks up speed when using them. I recently spent six days hiking in the Adirondacks and these poles saved my butt more than once on some difficult trails. While I have no idea as to how these poles compare to others, I will say they performed just fine for me and I have no regrets with my purchase.

Love These Poles

Super happy with these trekking poles. Nice comfy cork handles feel good in my hands, and the aluminum nice and sturdier than carbon. Wrist straps are soft and feel very natural.

Sturdy Trekking Poles That Are Comfortable To Use

Bought this for a 36 mile 3 day backpacking trip in Shenandoah. Used the trekking poles for all of the hike. They proved to be very comfortable to use, as the cork absorbed moisture well and the wristband didn’t cause any blisters. The pole felt sturdy and after my first length adjustment at the car, i didn’t need to make any more adjustments as the locks held each piece firmly. I will continue to bring these poles with me on my trips and i’m confident they’ll hold up.

Maybe Used 8 Times Now Garbage.

So I really wanted to like these poles. generally I'm not a pole person, but the knees have started to need them on downhills or loose terrain (or snow). About 1 month after getting them I used them for the first time and they got bent right out of the gate in SNOW. Come on, snow isn't that strong. Anyway, I bent them back and kept using them. As they took the random hits and bumps and scratches that come along with backpacking the finish got chipped/scratched of and the material started to pock and pit making them hard to extend and contract. So basically they went into a constant state of oxidation (aka corrosion). I continued to use them by once again after a relatively light hit they bent again (another location the other pole) At this point their unusable as I can't bend them back....so garbage. Kind of disappointed overall. The moral of the story is, as long as you treat the lightly, don't scratch them and make sure you (I don't know, oil them?) clean them or something, they'll be OK. If you're a bit more off the beaten path like I am, might not be a good choice... On the plus side, the grips are pretty nice...

Dependable Poles - Great Cork Grips

I used these new poles last week during a 6 day trip in the Tetons. The cork grips were amazingly solid and non-slip. I like aluminum for its strength and durability.

Very Happy With Purchase!

Did a lot of research, and while there are cheaper options, you get what you pay for. Very happy with these trekking poles as they are very comfortable in my hands and sturdy. It is very easy to adjust the height and the straps are helpful. Will be purchasing a second pair for my girlfriend as well!

Solid Poles

I've used these for several hikes now with more than 6000ft of ascent on some of the hikes. They are sturdy and trust worthy - I had broken my 15 year old poles and had to go through the purchase process again. They are about the same diameter as my old poles but slightly thicker than my wife's Black Diamond Trail Trekking poles (which have also taken lots of abuse). These are still pretty long when collapsed but they fit on the side of my pack so I have no reason to want them to be more compact. I also have no interest in the tent pole style collapsing ones, that just seems like a nightmare to tuck into the outer pockets. Corks vs Foam handles - I don't care - both are fine I'd probably buy foam again next time - my cork ones already got a good size chunk taken out of them - my guess is from a nibbling animal one night. The foam handle ones still look pretty much the same as the day we bought them, i guess they aren't as appetizing. Ergo 15 degree angle - I thought this might be nice reminds me of some old ski poles - I don't honestly think i notice the difference but it doesn't bother me either. The straps are nice and comfortable.

A Great Hiking Accessory

My new Black Diamond trekking poles have been on several training hikes and this weekend, they ventured with me to an alpine lake backpacking trip. The perfect tool for extra stability on snowy, muddy trails, and a knee saver down hills.
