Bright, Versatile, And Waterproof.

This headlamp is very bright, has numerous brightness and mode settings. It is light, reasonably comfortable to wear and is supposedly waterproof, though I have not tested this. As it is a two button system, it is a little more complex to learn how to set the different brightness and mode settings but a little practice is all that is needed.

Jack Of All Trades Headlamp

I bought this amount about a month ago and it's insane. The jack of all trades for headlamps. The white light is beyond bright and it's also got 3 other colors. The green light is awesome if you ever want to go bigfoot hunting, it makes my amateur footage look legit. It's also got a blue and red light which are both great for setting the mood in your tent ;) Also great for your room if you're too cheap for LEDs. I use this several times a week and still haven't had to change the batteries out. Only negative is that it's a bit heavy, definitely not a dealbreaker though, I'll just wear a hat with it.

I got this after reading the Outdoor Gear Lab reviews. I wanted something that is BRIGHT for pitch dark hikes and that has decent battery life. With parks being more crowded, I've started hitting the trail super early (even without a 14er summit push) which has been amazing. I feel more safe with this beacon on my head instead of the 10+ year old headlamp I'd been using. The value is excellent for peace of mind. I like the lock feature to keep battery life safe. Good number of modes without being excessive. Good fit and adjust-ability. The pieces seem solid but it is all little plastic doodads that I could see being damaged if you are rough on gear (I am not). Overall highly recommended.

I love this headlight! If you turn it to its lowest setting it seemingly lasts forever. On its highest setting it is very bright. It also has colored light options for different conditions and a strobe for emergencies(or disco dancing) It is lightweight enough to take backpacking and runs on AAA batteries.
