This battery seems to last longer than the non-rechargeables. Or maybe it’s just seems that way because it’s so much easier to re-fuel by plugging in than the hassle of removing and replacing all those batteries every few days! Yeah, it’s a little pricey but it saves $$ in the long run! So happy with this product.

It appears that this batter needs to be disconnected to change the setting on the battery pack. Also it dims very quickly over 30 mins. Also the Battery pack will show full charge, but the headlamp will show only one blue charge so it doesn't match the battery pack charge status. When using the 4 alkaline batteries this head lamp is the best and work really well. The Rechargeable pack doesn't perform well or reliably. I have seen multiple you-tube videos that show that same problem as mine does.

I love the battery back as it is rechargeable and I no long need to carrier AA batteries in my pocket/pack. I gave only 4 starts as it should have been sold with the lamp to begin with & it is heavier than the old battery. It is not heavier by much to be fair, 0. 2 oz. I use this to get to hunting blinds so I light to use the light but it has a very bright blue light in the middle of the battery which sets on the back of your head. I cover it with thickest black electrical tape I can find.

I purchased an Ikon battery and headlamp about 1 year ago. Shortly after, the battery pack cracked and the battery pack cover fell off and was lost due to breaking, Thus, I had to purchase a replacement pack. For this reason I am giving a poor rating.

No matter how long I leave this battery on the charger it does not completely charge, nor does it hold a charge for seemingly any longer than the smaller batteries used in small lamps. Update: I pulled this battery out of the bottom of a bin and charged it up. It shows that it is charged and tests fine. Unfortunately when I went to use it a couple days later the battery was dead. I had the switch locked and did not leave the lamp on.

This rechargeable battery pack is a large upgrade over the stock included battery case for the icon 700 headlamp. It is lighter and feels better when wearing the headlamp than the battery case along with the inclusion of the rear facing red-light which increases the usefulness of the Icon 700 headlamp for more activities where rear visibility is needed. I would not hesitate to purchase this battery pack again, the only thing I would change is to purchase it sooner.

Incredible performance, just really dislike that the high power rear facing light automatically comes on solid green when using as a charging bank. Seems like a waste of energy during an emergency charge situation, not to mention I found it super annoying when trying to top off my GPS (phone) while sleeping on a route.

I now have 2 headlamps w/ this battery. I've used the first one for a few years work daily, and it's given me superb service. Just runs and runs between recharges. Then I got a second light for other purposes and expect the same durability and service. I must add though that finding this on the web sight the second time was impossible til I did a Google search that connected me to the page. I don't know why the website is so mystifying, it must have been rebuilt. I thought they maybe got rid of these great accessories, and super glad to have found it. Love this w/ the Icon 700 headlamp.

I need to call customer support and find our why a new battery with a huge capacity dies after less than 2 hours. When I am using the factory battery pack that came with the headlamp, I get 6 hours on 4 AA's. This high capacity rechargeable pack has no capacity. Like I said, I need to call before I commit to this review. I am 110% positive they will help me resolve my issue. I will update.

It's a nice rechargeable battery pack for the headlamp. Definitely saves having to continously buy batteries. Its also nice to help charge up your cell phone in cases of emergency. The only thing that sucks is that, the power charging port is a micro. Just wish it was a c-port.

I love this battery for its long life and that you can charge other devices from it if needed. Only con is that it is a bit heavy so I use the long cable and keep it attached to my pack instead of wearing on the head strap.

Great battery life and I also love the ability to mount the battery on my body to keep it warm during cold weather adventures.
