Heavier than other models, but the two clip in points are nice, and the length of the hanger makes torquing the screw through hard ice a bit easier, although it requires more motion to do so.

This ice screw goes in smooth and feels super solid once it’s placed. It’s easy to rack and doesn’t get in the way.

Title says it all. These screws bite quickly even in hard ice and turn in fast and smooth when you need a placement now. Flip-down rotating grip stays out of the way on your clipper, yet feels sturdy when turning in alpine ice.

I bought these screws last week and they worked great. Also bought a Weston Range splitboard here and I love it. They gave me a deal on black diamond skins as well. Super cool staff.

The BD Express ice screws are great! Easy to place and durable, have never had an issue with them over the years. They drive into the ice smoothly and the lever makes placements quick and efficient.

These are a gift for my girlfriend! Don’t tell her, but I think she’s going to love them!! Actually, she already owns some, so I KNOW she will love them.
Keeps me moving forward not the ice. Love the addition to my rack. Always nice to have a fresh screw to drive into the ice on a cold morning.

It's a Black Diamond! Not much else needs saying. Been using these and their predecessors for years. They do the job when the job needs doing!

Great ice screw. This screw have been on the market for many years and it never dissaponted me. The colour coded crank shaft makes it easy to drive the screw into the ice and pick the correct lenght.

Hubby and I have these in multiple sizes. They start easy and work well. I bought him the 22" to make v threads, and having clean easy starts makes it way easier.

The best ice screw out there in my opinion for climbing waterfall ice. They rack nicely, hold their sharpness, clear ice well, easy to start and screw in easy. The steel is more durable than the lighter weight aluminum options, which are better suited for alpine in my opinion. I've never had binding issues with these like I have some other screws. The double hanger is great and I believe it makes the screwing process easier by allowing you to generate greater torque since the knob is farther from the screw axis. The color coded knobs makes selection easy. The 13's and 16's are the workhorses of my rack with some 19's for belays, a 22 for v-threads and a couple 10's for the thinner stuff.
