I am a big hikers with my wife at 70 and always wanted a pair this weekend in Yosemite she made my dream come true there a big help all around

Buckled - Warranty Somewhat Honored

TLDR: They get the job done, but don't expect much from Black Diamond if you have any issues. I'm an avid backpacker, completing the full Appalachian trail last year, and needed poles that would collapse for my trip to Portugal, so I picked these up. All in all, they're basic trekking poles and will work for most scenarios. The challenge I had with these poles is that the left pole buckled when going downhill, causing a fall. This was seen by my fellow hiker, as the pole didn't seem to be able to handle the weigh (i'm only 210 lbs). I contacted support afterwards for a potential warranty replacement. They made it very clear that this is not normally covered under warranty and were making a one time exception to send me the lower portion only, but no other warranty would be provided. They made it really clear that they don't actually cover such a defect and they didn't even want to send me the one section of the pole. In general, I miss when companies would stand by their products. Black Diamond used to be one of the tops for trekking poles, but it doesn't seem that way any longer.

Sturdy Purchase

Saving My Knees :)

these poles are saving my knees on descents one step at a time. For reference I'm 19. So this is important lol. Very easy to use and have some awesome features. LOVE THEMMMMMM!!!

Broke Into Half

We bought these about a year ago and used them only a few times. I fell on trails and the pole broke into 2 pieces. . . I am 5' and 103lb. They are light but not as sturdy as other kinds.

Great Value For The Price

Reall like the poles, I'm 5'10" and they work great for my height. Very sturdy, I took them to Mt hood and Mt rainier recently, they held up perfectly. The weight feels just right, the adjustment clips are easy to use.

The Trekking Poles Are Light

The trekking poles are light weight but very sturdy. They can be telescoped to enlarge or lessen the length thereby making them easy to pack. I am 78 years old and have poor balance because of knee and ankle surgery. My worst fear is falling, breaking a leg, catching pneumonia and dying. These poles help to prevent this. And allow me to be active.

Great Poles For Programs

Love that these are adjustable and able to size down, so that we can easily pack these up and adjust to the height of the person using them. It's a great color as well!

Explorer 3 Review

Bought these for hiking and hunting. I am 6'2 and 225lbs and these poles work great. There is no slippage and the adjustability is great. They are very light weight. Great product!!
