Awesome Rain Jacket From Black Diamond!

Love the red color. The material feels great! It is very light weight and can pack away in your pack no problem. I would definitely recommend this jacket!!

Lightweight And Packable

This jacket is very lightweight and packable. I plan to take it to S. Africa this summer. The fit is perfect. Not too long or short and I can wear it over a fleece if I am looking for some extra warmth. Kuhl rain jackets were too tight in the shoulder/arm areas for me to layer. Glad I found this jacket.

Beware If You Intend To Use The Hood!

The Pomegranate color is beautiful and it fits great in the body and sleeves. But the hood is ridiculously huge. There is an adjustment on the back of the hood but it doesn't pull the top back as I'd hoped. Instead it pulls the hood toward the back at about ear level but the front still hangs down over my eyes! Also when it's zipped up all the way the front is really tall. And I was disappointed that there are no inside pockets. Disappointing for the price. I didn't wear it so not sure about the quality, durability or waterproofness.

Stretchy And Comfy

Material is super breathable and stretchy. No problems with condensation inside. I like the pit vents. Zipper pockets and packability are nice. Climbing helmet easily fits underneath. Got poured on and water beads off nicely. The only soak-through occurred where my backpack straps were rubbing up and down while I was walking (but this is expected). It is an athletic fit, so if you are large-chested or have broad shoulders size up. I'm 5'10 and 140 and ordered a medium. I have considered sizing up to a large just to allow more room for layering but am keeping the medium for now, since it is not my primary cold weather jacket

Beautiful Jacket, Snug At Bottom

Very nice jacket! I bought the pomegranate color and it’s lovely and cheerful, plus when I go walking on our country gravel road I will be well seen. I usually have a problem with hooded jackets - they droop down over my eyes because I have a short neck but this jacket hood has an adjustable cord in back that fixes my problem. The only warning I have is that the jacket is a little tight at the bottom so if you plan to wear layers under the jacket or have curvy hips you may want order a size up.

Lightweight And Reliable

Love this jacket. Packs really small. I was worried that something so lightweight wouldn’t hold up on a downpour but this jacket has passed every test.

Really Nice Rain Coat

This is a really attractive, well-fitting, comfortable raincoat. I wanted something other than my usual black and love the green color. I am size 2-4 and got the small and it fits nicely with room to layer a bit underneath it. I've yet to use it in a hard rain, but will be testing it on my upcoming travel adventure.

Great Packable Jacket

This jacket does a good job for the price. It's waterproof enough to keep me completely dry in a light drizzle (haven't tried it in anything worse.) It also does a good job of blocking wind. It was pretty well ventilated and I didn't find myself getting clammy inside or anything. It also packs down nice and compact. My only complaint would be that it could use some more pockets.

Fantastic New

I bought this for my daughter since she needed a super light jacket for skiing, hiking and alpine touring. She loves it and it's getting lots of use. It's waterproof and breathable.

Beautiful Color And Nice Fit

I bought this jacket about a month ago for a cooler weather hiking, I haven't got a chance to use it in the rain yet, but I love the fit and color!

Love This Shell

This is a great, high-quality shell. Extremely waterproof, the snowguard is removable, there is a pocket for your RFID card, and it is spacious for under layers. I'm extremely happy with this purchase!

Comfy And Warm!

I bought this jacket about a month ago for a cooler weather hiking shell, but my overnight trip to Mt. Whitney was cancelled so I haven’t had the opportunity to . I bought a medium based on measurements and reviews, but it ended up being too big and I switched it out for a small. I am 5’2”, 37”-29”-37“ & 150 lbs, so I am small but have a muscular build. I am one to READ reviews so I can get the right sizing, but one thing I never saw mentioned in these reviews was that the arms are really long. So - basically, I would say if you’re wanting to layer a lot, go for a size up. But honestly ladies, this ain’t 2005 anymore where we wear bulky sweatshirts and 3 cotton long sleeve under our fleece jacket and outer shell to stay warm. This jacket’s technology is impressive. I was standing in a 60 degree room with a tank top and had this bad boy on and I was sweating within a min. With the thermals I typically wear in cold weather - even in the negative degree weather, a long sleeve and a thermal and this jacket would be plenty to keep warm. So for me, the arms were too long, like past my fingers long, and it hung loose and just felt a bit too big for MY comfort. I’m all for sizing up when appropriate, but the medium was just more bulky than what I wanted. Once I got the small, it wasn’t restrictive and felt very flexible. I suppose if you’re wanting to wear a puffy coat underneath and truly have this as an outer shell, size up. Overall, I’m super excited to wear this coat and look forward to next winter or at least a good Colorado summer rain storm.

Disappointed

Nice tapered fit true to size with great style but the material felt like vinyl. I would have kept it but it is a poor value for the price, It felt like I would sweat badly wearing it.

Great, Lightweight Jacket

I bought this jacket to have a lightweight option to throw in my pack for backpacking trips. I'm so pleased with the weight and feel of the fabric. I've never had a stretch rain shell like this and I love how well the stretchy fabric moves with me--no more marshmallow man feeling in my rain jacket. It's also way less crinkly/swooshy sounding than other lightweight rain jackets I've had. The sleeves are long enough for my super long arms, and the pit vents are a nice feature. I have a big head and the hood is still pretty spacious on me...if you generally have trouble with hoods being too big, I'd imagine this one could be too much for you. I've only taken it through one big rainstorm so far, but the jacket performed perfectly and kept me nice and dry!
