I have several BD headlamps: Storm 450 and 500 series. I really am glad I stepped up to the Distance. The amount of light and beam focus is outstanding. Feels very comfortable wearing as a headband or using the full top strap for a more secure fit. The Distance works with my BD Vapor helmet without any issues. It’s built well and I like having a back up battery for the long overnight adventures. The RBG options are great too for night vision - same easy to use BD controls. I use the light as my go to for hiking and climbing.

Easiest battery pack to change on a BD headlamp i’ve owned to date. LED indicators make checking the charge simple as well.

Not much to say here: redundancy of critical systems in the wilderness can be a life saver. Pricey, but cheaper than stumbling in the dark and twisting your ankle and getting evac'd by helicopter.
