Great pack. Using it for skimo and ski touring! Like the multiple lash points

Bought this for a spring backcountry ski mountaineering trip up to the summit of Shasta. Was absolutely perfect. Jammed everything I needed inside: shovel / probe / boot crampons / ski crampons / layers / food / water / misc / etc... Fast in the transitions, great for slinging skis, lightweight, easy to dig around for snacks and layers etc...It's well designed and engineered, feels like it was really purpose built for this specific trip. Kudos to the BD design team.

Never had an issue with quality of black diamond gear. The only suggestion for this pack would be accessibility from the front/side of the pack, so I don't have to take it off to stow skins.

Perfect Pack for a day backcountry guiding or a multi day backcountry adventure. I use this pack daily. It fits everything I need for a day of splitboarding with room to spare for the extra large puffy on those chilly days. Perfect amount of pockets for me. I put my rescue gear in the front pouch and everything else in the middle. Snacks, headlamp, inreach, etc in the top pocket. I also love the way it rides on my board while its strapped on, I can snug it down with little shifting movement. The upside of this pack is that it doubles as a climbing pack. I swap it out every season.

Better suited for tall individuals compared to other brands (190cm, 90kg). Comfortable belt and back pannel. I enjoy closing the bag with one pull and folding the top easily over a rope. I appreciate the sleek design with few accessories extending from the bag. The helmet holder is cleverly concealed when not used. My favorite backpack so far for all climbing and skiing adventures. Great colour too.

This pack is perfect for touring and hut trips. It's simple, but has pockets exactly where I need them. The best pack I've ever had.

Have had this pack for several seasons and its fantastic. can load it up for hut trips or SAR work - especially with the lid attachment for multi day trips, or cinch down the straps and make it snug for low loads and skiing. Carries really well and comfortable without excessive and unneeded features padding etc. 100% reccomend.

This is a great pack, the convertible outside helmet holder and camel back hole are great for efficiency. Good amount of little pockets, but not too many. I like the specialized avi pouch for shovel and probe. Interested to see how it works in falling wet snow. The top has a draw string and small flap that goes over that, not 100% sure it will keep moisture out.... but I am sure BD has things figured out and it will be fine!

I can recommend this bag as there is plenty of storage, it’s very technical and light!

I can take this on morning dawn patrols or all day missions deep into the mountains. I would highly recommend this bag.

This pack feels very comfortable considering how light it is. And it's big enough to fit every item I could possibly need on a ski tour.

This pack has everything I need in a ski pack without unnecessary bells and whistles. I’m a 5’2” lady and this pack fits me and carries super well. I find other packs sometimes rise too high behind my head and are uncomfortable with a helmet on. Love the roomy hip belt pocket, gear loop, couple of pockets for organizing smaller items (not too many!), and side zip for easy access to the main compartment. My only gripe is that the avy gear pocket is not the most accessible, requiring one to undo three separate fasteners to access a shovel and probe. But I do like the drawstring top and simple design.

I bought this pack to upgrade my ski mountaineering pack and hopefully lighten my load on upcoming hut trips. I haven't used it for those purposes yet, however, I took on a 10-day excursion to Everest Base Camp in Nepal and it was perfect. Nice and light, easy to figure out and load up each day. It's not exactly waterproof so some of my gear got lightly wet from rain and mist soaking through. Also, not normally an issue when skiing, so nothing a little rain cover didn't fix.

I needed a general Ski tour (overnight) and a Search and Rescue pack. This fits the bill. Its light, has separate tool storage, is light and moves with me when I ski. Love it 10/10 would recommend!
